Hi, I didn't see one of these open (and hopefully nobody made one while I was typing :P), so I figured I'd start one up.

I guess just use this to talk about the 5th season of Six Feet Under as it airs. I'm trying to avoid spoilers entirely, so please use spoiler boxes when appropriate. Once an episode has aired, I don't think it's necessary to use a spoiler box to talk about anything that happened in that episode.

This is the final season of Six Feet Under, and it already seems much better than the last one, thank God. Brace yourselves for a hell of a rant, I really love this show.

Season 5 Episode 1:

The opening was great. I'd forgotten how nervous they make me, I was expecting that woman to snap and kill the people she was talking to. The impalation was really gross, what a way to go.

I had the miscarriage spoiled thanks to the first sentance of an article in the Times today, but I was still surprised by it. I feel bad for Brenda, and that surprised me, since I really hated her in the previous seasons. Seeing her self-loathing through the vision of Lisa was great. I always get a kick out of Lisa being such a venomous ***** when Nate or Brenda imagines her, since she was such a goody two shoes. Rico seems back to normal, almost. I'm biting my tongue so I don't rant about how out of character he was last season, I'm happy to see Vanessa and him getting along. I wonder if they'll get back together?

I'm glad to see David has recovered, he's my favorite, and that he and Keith are relatively happy. I loved the bachelorette fantasy, glad the show still has its humor. I'm really interested to see how their two potential children idea works out.

I feel so bad for Ruth. She's truly in an awful position, but this is why you don't marry people you know for a month. And her nest is empty, too. The poor girl needs another drug induced sequence in the mountains.

Billy. I hate Billy. What a scumbag. That look on his face at the wedding sent chills through me. And Claire's dream, I can never tell if those are real or not. I'm guessing most of the drama this season is going to be involving him, since, if memory serves, didn't he run away from the mental hospital? Or something to that extent. I can see Brenda getting better, even though she's so damaged, but Billy, not a chance. He's just too creepy.

This is a spoiler for the second episode, but just dealing with the preview for it.
Spoiler:

My question is, the woman in the preview Rico was looking for was the dentist's assistant he went to the wedding with, right? I forget what Infinity's real name was, so I don't know if he meant her.

I'm very hopeful that this is going to be a good season, and as dorky as this will sound, I just want them to be happy at the end of it all.
