    Remember "The Breakfast Club"?

    Like This Thread!
The original cast from John Hughes' 1985 movie will be reuniting for the MTV Movie Awards next week (except for Emilio Estevez). Of course, now that the movie is twenty years old, they'll now be known as "The Early Dinner Club."

    "The Earlybird Special Club."

What's up with Emilio not showing up? It's like he completely disappeared after the last Mighty Ducks movie.

I really loved The Breakfast Club, though. It's the movie I bring up everytime someone decides to listen to "Welcome to my Life" by Simple Plan.

Oh dear lord, this movie was just awful. I had sit through it with my friends at a film fest thing.

No offence to anyone who liked it but I thought it was just the most stupidest, lamest, sterotyped thing ever.

Oh and it was ****ing tacky too

    Really? That is very cool.

Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies, and has been for years. I adore it very, very much.

Edit: Oh, it seems that Yellowcard will be performing "Don't You Forget About Me," the theme song of the movie. I hope they don't butcher it too much. Simple Minds did it best.

I don't think this is an "awesome" movie by any stretch, but it is definitely still good watching; it's all about the characters, which are developed quite well as the movie carried forward.

Was that called for? Do you get a turn on from blasting every show or film you hate when you could easily IGNORE these threads and discuss things that you find entertaining? Sod off if you don't like it, nobody asked you to respond, and certaingly not with crappy remarks that serve only to make yourself look like a repugnant and immature idiot when you resort to using profanity.

On topic, the movie's soundtrack is unquestionably the highlight of this character-driven peice, it still holds up well as a teen movie, it also serves as a lesson ON how to do them RIGHT.

Huh. Maybe it's one of those movies where you had to be there (the eighties). Wonder if it still resonates at all with teenagers today? (Aside from Matt, of course)

I'm afraid most demograhphics would rather see a teenager stick his shlong in a pie now...

haha. I get it. But I'm 14, and i thought The BC (get it, like the OC (I hate that show)) was better than AP, AP2, and AW. Though I did like the nudity.

Yeah, all Breakfast Club had was discussion of taped butt cheeks. Now Fast Times at Ridgemont High...

Here here! I was in high school from 1998 to 2002, and I think Breakfast Club was one of the best teen movies ever created. At least it didn't break my heart, like Pretty in Pink did. Ducky was robbed.

Heh, you're an aggressive little fella aren't you? This is the 3rd childish outburst I have seen from you on about as many days. Settle down, Beavis. It's an open forum, and the guy has a right to air his opinion even of you don't like it.

By the same token, Zero-V has a right to air his opinion on Matt-a-Tastic's opinion, even if you don't like it. We should all be able to express ourselves at all times. If Breakfast Club taught us anything, that was it.

I'm not the one resorting to profanity

Woah, lecturing me on childish behaviour, yet throwing me a cheap insult, don't you feel mature?

In that fashion? Nope, not happening, he can try a more passive approach than that, indeed, the first sentence was good enough

    ...

The Breakfast Club is one of the best teen/society movies with a message.

... if you didn't get the message, things aren't right for you.
