Finally a thread for this.
Van Helsing: That was one of my favorite movies. I don't understand how people hated it. Ahd what do you mean by it wasn't supposed to be serious? It was serious.
Another one was Daredevil.
We've all seen movies that we liked, but everyone else despised, here's some of mine........
Little Nicky- Yeah, people hate this movie but it isn't as bad as people put it to be, Obviously it is geared toward teens & young adults, not 40 year old somethings living in thier mother's basementI thought it was a funny movie, not Sandler's best, but certainly not his worst!
Van Helsing- Come on people, this was a fun popcorn movie, it wasn't supposed to be serious, lighten up and enjoy the action!
Batman & Robin- JK, got ya there didn't I![]()

Dungeons and Dragons: Sure the acting was terrible, the script was crappy and the charcters were dumb, but it was still good fun, and the effects were brilliant,
THe best bit was when snails gets killed, I was soooooo happy![]()
Oh, I almost forgot....
Anger Management- This movie was classic, Sandler was great, Nicholson was a blast, and it gave a good feel of New York, the opening was hilarious. Could easily become a classic given a few years. I honestly don't know what people were expecting out of this but I thought it was easily one of Sandler's best![]()
The Hot Chick- Once again, a stupid, dumb comedy not meant to be taken seriously, it was very, very funny, gave me good laughs. How can you not laugh at Rob Schneider acting like a chick. This movie goes to show how people just can't take a movie that isn't a serious oscar-calibar film![]()

Who didn't like Anger Management?
Daredevil
Van Helsing
Blade Trinity
Punisher
Terminator 3
I agree. I loved all of those movies.
Van Helsing- Y'know, sometimes you just need to see a good, old-fashioned "monster mash". A movie that sticks all the classic monsters together just for the coolness factor involved. These movies go back a while, starting with House of Frankenstein and going on to include such movies as the '80s kid comedy The Monster Squad. As a rule of thumb, these movies are rarely very good. Of the many that I've seen, Van Helsing actually did a pretty good job. It was definitely better than the movie House of Frankenstein '97, which I saw on Sci-Fi Channel the weekend Van Helsing came out (LAPD detectives investigating monsters, uncharismatic yuppie vampires, werewolfism being attributed to a "lycanthropy virus", ugh).
Titan A.E.- The movie that supposedly sunk Fox's animation division. I liked it. I thought it was at least as good as a lot of the animated action/adventure shows you would have seen on Fox Kids at the time. Plus, it had a cool soundtrack.
Fat Albert- I don't think I ever saw the cartoon series, but I went to see the movie one day because I had nothing better to do. I had fun. It was just a fun, good-spirited movie.
Batman Forever- Often judged as the second worst Batman movie of all time. I, personally, liked it. It was nice to get away from all the oppressively dark elements of the first two for a while (especially Batman Returns). Plus, I was just happy to see them introduce certain elements from the comic books that we hadn't seen in the movies before like Robin, Two-Face and Arkham Asylum. Sure, I wouldn't want to see stuff like this all the time regarding Batman, but it was fun.
Me, Myself, & Irene
3000 Miles to Graceland
Deuces Wild
I guess they weren't hated exactly, but just not really...I don't know.
Star Wars Episodes 1 and 2.
Titan A.E. was definately good. As for Batman Forever, I did like that. Nicole Kidman, I couldn't stand, but Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones had masterful performances and Val Kilmer was a great Batman. Not as good as Keaton, but still good.
Episode 1 was probably my favorite movie in the entire Star Wars franchise. You can kilil me now.
Except for Titan A.E. and the few movies I haven't seen in this list, they all justifiably suck.
Zimed.
There are nights when I think Sal Paradise was right, Boys and girls in America, have such a sad time together...
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. Everyone I know thinks the movie is bottom ten material, but I find it hilarious.

I enjoyed these two, though I could easily tell they were pretty crappy. Though I thought Jar-Jar was the best part of episode 1 and everyone else seemed to hate him. But I absolutely loved him.Originally Posted by Washington

Spirit(I really liked this animated horse movie from Dreamworks, that and the soundtrack was well done)
I loved Titan A.E. as well, I didn't release that everyone else hated it though
Mars Attacks!
Everyone I know thinks I am some sort of freak when I say I love this movie, but I thought it was great.![]()

Titan A.E. definately. Same for Mars Attacks!, and Kung Pow.
For a couple unlisted ones I liked that apparently even the easy to please (like me) didn't:
Chronicles of Riddick
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (why does everyone hate this movie? It's brilliant!)
Final Fantasty: The Spirits Within
Treasure Planet? (I...don't know if people liked this, because nobody went to see it. =()
Was Underworld critically panned by mainstream america? It couldn't have done too bad...else the sequel wouldn't be coming out at the end of the year. Still, perhaps it's worth mentioning.
Toonami: Absolution NeXt
Evolution of the Revolution
[The X Bridge] [TDA] [Infolink] [ANX] = [TICA]

I loved TREASURE PLANET. (And ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE. Not sure if it's mostly hated, but I loved it, too.)
TITAN A.E. is awesome! I'm POed that I skipped it in the theater. I never saw it until earlier this year, and I loved it. Best animated movie I've ever seen.
VAN HELSING rocked. I liked the fact that Stephen Sommers actually spent the time figuring out how to have all of the characters be present in the story instead of just doing a generic "monster mash" movie with all the monsters there just because they exist, like anybody else would have done. Besides that, it was just super-cool.
Others on the list include: ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, TERMINATOR 3, GARFIELD: THE MOVIE, NATIONAL TREASURE, THE SHADOW, HARD TARGET, SHOWTIME, SIX DAYS SEVEN NIGHTS, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (remake), THE PUNISHER, all of Seagal's movies up to FIRE DOWN BELOW, and anything with Kevin Costner.
