"WWE SmackDown!" Talkback (Spoilers)
SmackDown! is about to get underway and it's shaping up to be a big show. Two championship matches have already been announced; what else will happen now that General Manager Theodore Long has some job security?

MARCH MADNESS
MARCH 3, 2005
SmackDown! arrives in Albany, New York, this week with WWE fans just learning that Kurt Angle has accepted the challenge of Shawn Michaels to compete at WrestleMania 21.
Meanwhile, two major championship matches have been announced as WWE Tag Team Champions Rey Mysterio & Eddie Guerrero will take on Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak. Also, United States Champion John Cena will face JBL Chief of Staff Orlando Jordan.
Plus, SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long, bolstered by his vote of confidence from the WWE Board of Directors last week, told Carlito to show up to work early this week.

Could Long have something in store for his nemesis?
Don’t miss SmackDown! on UPN (8/7 CT).

Very good promos cut by JBL and Cena. JBL has been cutting some very good ones lately. I don't know what to think of his parting shot to Orlando as he "left."
Another awesome segment in the Angle-Michaels feud. I guess there will probably be a gag order by both GM's prohibiting them to go to the other wrestler's show.
That mixed tag-match was beyond awful. Who'd Dupree tick off? Show was paying a little too much attention to Michelle in the match.
I'm not looking forward to the Show-Akebano match at Mania, which looks like it will happen. That's bound to be a gigantic disaster, no pun intended.
And from the sounds of it, Mysterio-Eddie could happen, too. But I think both will stay faces. I think it's too much of a risk to turn Eddie.
Jordan/Cena went on a little too long for my taste. Cena losing the US title was bound to happen, so I'm not surprised in the outcome of the match. I liked JBL spinning the belt at the end.
I wasn't feeling this week's Smackdown that much. RAW was better executed.

Maybe they're planting the seeds for Jordan to turn back face down the road.

I'd expect that to happen come Monday.

There are some of us who've never seen Akebono in a sumo match. He might've been the inspiration for the late Yokozuna, for all we know.

Of course it's a risk, but Chavo will end up bending his uncle's ear next week, to further stir the pot.

I was there. The live crowd hated on the finish. The correct move here is to reverse the decision, and have a rematch next week. No interference allowed. Let Jordan win the title on his own.

Raw & Smackdown have one thing in common. Heel champions who talk too much about nothing.

The only thing I can say is: Go HBK Vs Angle. That Match and the Ladder Match have great potential at Wrestlemania.
The Feud HBK and Angle should continue after Wrestlemania. Trade Criple H for Angle. If this happens, RAW will be king and Smackdown will die.
Jerk B*****d Loser talks too much. Cena will probably wins the title. Unless, Vince decides to let him to keep the title until Summerslam. If so, Smackdown is dead.

The Angle HBK segment was great. The home-hero looked so much like HBK...
Show vs. Akebono? Um...okay. If Akebono loses, No offense, but I think Japan won't be happy. I would say Akebono should DEFINETLY win.
I'm glad Cena lost, because this means he can win the WWE, and not look like an almighty God with 2 titles. If JBL wins at Mania...I loved when JBL spun the belt, but Orlando with a spinning belt...that's an odd mix.
Eddie could turn heel, but Chavo will have something in this mix.
What's this ladder thing I'm hearing?

I think after the WM 21 commercial and the promo on Smackdown, I have become a fan of JBL. HHH needs to take notes. That is how you be a heel champion. Of course, Cena's going to win and Mania, to make all the lemmings happy. Whooo. . .*ahem*
OJ winning the US Title is fine. I swear I heard a small 'OJ' chant.

Chris Jericho mentioned a match for Wrestlemania with him and 5 other wrestlers in a ladder match.

Does this mean that this is the last time we may see the spinning U.S. title?
-
One can only hope. Seeing JBL and Cena spinning Cena's U.S. as Smackdown went off the air = teh awesome.

i'm convinced hhh is a loser.. i mean, 3 h's ? what does that stand for, halfwit, halfwit, and halfwit?
.. i don't like him at all. really, i don't.

I thought this week's SmackDown! was pretty boring. None of the matches were very good and only a few of the various talking segments were very entertaining. It just seems like this show should be a lot better than this considering how close they are to WrestleMania.
The opening tag team match was probably the best match on the show, but that just shows how poor the wrestling was this week. Eddie and Mysterio could be an exciting tag team, but they have nobody to work with. I still don't know what they have planned for Jindrak and Reigns. It seems like Angle should have had a talk with his boys by now.
Booker T versus Heidenreich was a pretty lousy match. I can't believe they ended it with Booker being disqualified after the DDT on the chair. I hope these two settle their problems next week because I don't want to see Heidenreich anywhere near the WrestleMania card.
The segment involving Angle and Michaels was well executed. I wonder what these two will do next now that they both have appeared on the other man's show. I can't wait to see the match between these two at WrestleMania. It may not meet the high expectations some people have for it, but it should still be great.
The mixed tag team match was abysmal. I don't think I need to elaborate on that.
I didn't care for JBL's promo. It seemed like the type I'd normally hear from Triple H. I changed the channel quite a few times during this segment, but it just kept going and going.
The main event was a bland match with a predictable ending. I would have rather seen Cena carry the United States Championship into WrestleMania. There's just no reason for Orlando to have the belt. I don't think he's even had a singles pay-per-view match yet.
