Sigmund and the Sea Monsters
Do we have any fans here? Surely there must be one or two!!
My favs are:
H. R. Pufnstuf
The Bugaloos
Lidsville
and most especially
Sigmund and the Sea Monsters
Any Generation X'ers here? I myself loved these shows and all the strange characters. I cant wait to see the Pufnstuf movie when it comes out...they are saying Billie Hayes will reprise her role as Witchiepoo!! Too kewl!
Cheers

Yep...All of the Sid and Marty Krofft shows were live action BUT they relied on costumes and puppeteers for most every show. Usually there were only a few "humans" in each show.
For example on Sigmund there were the two boys and their Aunt/Housekeeper and a sheriff as the humans, with Sigmund, Sigmund's Brothers, Big Daddy, Sweet Mama and the genies as "non-humans".
On H R Pufnstuf the only human was Jimmy...the rest were all puppet type characters. You might argue that Witchiepoo was human...probaby was.
I cannot believe I left out:
Land of the Lost
The Lost Saucer
The Far Out Space Nuts
I watched all of these but never really got too into them...![]()
That one scared me too. So did Big Bird. I hope I've grown out of that.Originally posted by Agatha
