Magiranger is the rumored name for the next sentai series. As for the motif, it does sounds promising IMO, if done right of course.
You mean they're already finished with Power Rangers SPD: Space Patrol Delta? Man that was fast.
PR IMO was good up until Wild Force. it didn't really make much sense and I was really confused. And then there was Ninja Storm and now DinoThunder. But I have a feeling that SPD and this new one will be a lot better.

Hey, that's what I was hoping they would do. The suits and helmets actually look good this time (Abaranger/Dinothunder and Dekaranger/SPD didn't/don't appeal to me aesthetically).
The suits themselves look pretty decent, but I don't like the capes or the helmets. Both are ugly as hell, IMO.
I gotta say, having a blue and a pink female Ranger in the Japanese version will be weird.

I like the whole design. I'm not a big fan of capes on rangers, but I can't picture sorcerors without them.
And Red, you are wrong. They haven't finished filming SPD yet. That is the preliminary sketch of what next year's Sentai series will be, and in turn be 2006's PR series.
Ugly.

Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.
GOD HATES FIGS
Also, am I the only one who doesn't like not having some kind of wristband on the Rangers? It just seems weird having their gloves the same exact color as the actual suit.

Okay, some of my quick thoughts:
Having Pink and Blue both be female is pretty cool. I like when they change up the gender/color match.
Capes? Not the greatest Ranger accessory.
The magic theme sounds cool, but who knows how much of that will stick with the American version.
No wristbands. Hm? Maybe it's a different sort of morpher this time. Heck, maybe there aren't any morphers this time. Maybe they just say an incantation or something.
Overall, it looks like it could be fun. It's still a ways away, though. I'm liking DinoThunder because it's sort of like a return to the classic MMPR with some modern-day tweaks (Tommy's return, the dinosaur theme and the fact that the cast is back to High School kids are some finer points). Not sure how SPD will be, but I'll give it a shot. I'm not as big on the more "vehicle" themed PR series, the "animal" ones just capture my attention more.
Aren't Power Rangers like a galactic police force or something like that? Mostly all Rangers powers came from space or something, minus Wild Force (not sure about Ninja Storm. The morphers could've been made from Ninjor or something) and Lightspeed Rescue. If this is true, then how does the magic fit into all this?

So then the verision that I watch on TV is actally Dubbed from Japenese?
No. The original PR (Mighty Morphin) was an Americanized version of the Japanese versoin, which was called Go Go Power Rangers instead of Mighty Morphin). Everything from MM to [I think] Galaxy was a part of Saban, and then Saban didn't own PR anymore.Originally Posted by Samurai Matt

Adapted. All the morphed footage is mostly Japanese, while all un-morphed footage (as well as any time morphed Rangers are interacting with regular people and any scene with Conner's Battlizer) is American.Originally Posted by Samurai Matt

I didn't notice the capes before. That takes down their coolness factor a little unless it works in like JAKQ.
Close, you're actually kinda warm.Originally Posted by Red X Unmasked
Power Rangers in the states has been around for over a decade, but take them to asia and you multiply that by about three.
The orginal series Super Sentai, which was orginally called simply "Sentai" when it was just Goranger and JACQ back in the mid 70's before adding the giant robots, is one of Japans oldest and longest runnin TV shows. It`s casts are littered with the best and worst actors and actresses Asia can afford. The best Japanese actors are in Kamen Rider though.
Stan Lee had a part in amping up Sentai when it became Super Sentai. He had worked with Toei when Marvel brought in a Japanese Spider-Man while Kamen Rider was in hiatus back in the late 70s. Marvel worked on a number of series before breaking off ties with Toei.
It was around that time in the mid 80's Saban tried to buy sentai, as well as some woman from France. Eventually debut on American screens in the form of Dynaman, with sixbadly dubbed episodes.
Dynaman clearly was showing the US wasn`t ready for this kinda show, not yet and not quite like this.
Years later Saban finally convinced the suits at TOEI co to let him adapt Super Sentai "Super Task Force" for American audiences, casting english speaking actors and dubbing over the fight footage. The new show was called Power Rangers, which was a semi-translation of Super Sentai. It started out with just a bit of American actor footage with Japanese scenes from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first season counter part Zyuranger, but over time the Rangers made their own footage and put the sentai clips on the back burner.
Now years later Saban is dead, the company, and Disney owns the rights to PR and Sentai in the western markets. Using Village Roadshow's(Folks behind The Matrix, Xena, Hercules and LOTR) PR branch Ranger Prods and the astonishing fighting feats of Koichi Sakamoto's Alpha Stunts stunt crew, whose work can be seen in Daredevil for starters, they produce a show that continues to captivate kids and sci/fi action loving adults alike.

A galactic police force? No. The only ones that have been police were Time Force and the upcoming S.P.D. Powers that didn't come from space are; Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, and possibly Ninja Storm; although no one really knows their origins.Originally Posted by Red X Unmasked
Actually if we just use the closest relatives to PRNS, the orignal Ninja Powers and Aquarin Ranger powers, then consider how big a part Ninjor played in PR's backstory. I think it`s safe to assume the PRNS powers are from Ninjor aswell.Originally Posted by Poweranimals
