    Yup. Battlefield Earth.

Now I'm spoiled for the OVA, and I've only watched the original "Bubbles Vanderbilt" series and the followup "Bubbles Vanderbilt Z"

I have another question, as well... what happened to the first two Bubbles Vanderbilts?

What about " Last Action Hero", " Howard The Duck", " Heaven's Gate" or " Waterworld"?

Nope, still Battlefield Earth. The only one I can think of that could possibly surpass it would be Cleopatra, but that's only if you adjust for inflation and take into account how close it came to killing 20th Century Fox.

Edit: I just thought of another that has put all of the aforementioned disasters to shame, The Adventures of Pluto Nash.

Bloody bastards the lot of ya! I loved Hudson Hawk, Howard the Duck and Waterworld.

They go along with Starship Troopers as some of the most underrated and misunderstood movies of all time...IMHO... n' stuff....

Hey now, no one here said they disliked the films mentioned. Just that they bombed Box-Office wise, after gobs of money were spent on producing them.

Now I'm spoiled for the OVA, and I've only watched the original "Bubbles Vanderbilt" series and the followup "Bubbles Vanderbilt Z"

As Heaven above is my witness...

I cannot fathom why so many people despise Hudson Hawk. There may have been some negative publicity surrounding it at the time of its release, but I think that time has been kind to it (in my case, at least; I first saw the film last fall on Comedy Central and immediately fell in love with it).

There are so many great lines, my personal favorite being (after a character is beheaded) "Guess you won't be attending that hat convention in July." Also, there are some weird yet undeniably clever touches, like the MTV.I.A. agents named for candy bars, Hawk and Tommy timing their robberies to classic songs and the way the film just seems to laugh in the face of regular action films.

Don't know about the rest of you, but Hudson Hawk gets a big thumbs-up from me.

So I guess I'd have to say Battlefield: Earth. (No offense to its fans...if any.)
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

Based on the number of reviews on cult movie sites, on how most of the reviews rip on Battlefield Earth, and PAYING money to see that in the theater...

    Battlefield Earth.

Of the movies mentioned, the ones I haven't been able to watch all the way through are Ishtar and Heaven's Gate.
I saw all of Hudson Hawk and Howard the Duck, but not in one viewing. I can take only so much.
Some how I made it all the way through Last Action Hero and Water World once, and never went back.
Starship Troopers, big hungry bugs and a mind bending gestapo like Doogie Howser, what's not to like?
But Battlefield Earth I've seen a few times. It's truly a bad movie, but have we learned nothing from MST3K? Bad movies can be fun.

    Chicken-guano > Battlefield Earth

That movie sucked so. Very. Badly. I watched maybe twenty minutes of it and wanted to gaulge my eyes out with a rusty screwdriver. Nothing could possibly compare.

    Except for maybe Catwoman.
    Recent fun stuff:
    - From the Ashes [JLU, C]
    - The Dark Knight Triumphant

    "Mmm, bacon."
    "Stop it."

I have not seen any of these bad movies although one day I do plan to see what Ishtar is like and why it is so bad.

Also none of these movies can beat Gigli.
