Some of those I've never heard of and some I didn't even care for the first time around. Personally, I'd love a remake of "Logan's Run," and I'm curious to see what Tim Burton will do with "Willy Wonka." Also can't wait for the "King Kong" remake. Why bother remaking "The Amityville Horror," though, when the whole story was proven to be a hoax?

In any event, I don't have a problem with remakes. I welcome them as much as any other movie, as long as the remaker does something interesting instead of just doing a straight-forward copy (i.e. "Psycho.

I heard Sherwood Schwartz wanted to a do "Brady Bunch in Amytiville" movie for a fourth BB film, but I guess since "Bradys in the White House" did so terribly, that won't be happening anytime soon.

    My mind grows ill

For the love of decency and the creative capacity of the human mind

    WHY?!!!?!?!?!?!???

I suddenly feel the need to arm myself like a parandoid, anti-government militiaman and attack Hollywood. I was getting sick of the second-rate attempts at new films and thinly-veiled remakes as it stands, now they don't even offer the courtesy of making their creative wasteland look a little like something else.

It's official. Hollywood has run out of ideas.

I honestly don't know half of these movies, but why the hell are they remaking the Posideon Adventure? Explain this to me. Somebody. Please.

    - The Dark Knight Triumphant

Instead of making remakes, they should just make a movie about zombie dog catchers who spend their free time at bakeries and get involved in a mafia plot to assissinate the king of Siam.

    It will make MILLIONS!!

Here is where I normally would complain about all these remakes being made while Romero still can't get funding for Dead Reckoning. With Land of the Dead now ready to go I guess I can't say that anymore.

The premise for that Hong Kong movie is great. My brother saw it, but I never did, but from what he told me, it's about a guy who gets an eye transplant and the eye he gets was some dead person's and he starts seeing creepy visions out of that eye, or something like that

I'm afraid that it seems so. =\ It is quite clever of them to do remakes, though, since the script and practically everything is done for them, and all they have to do is get some actors to act it out and *BOOM*, easy cash. The only problem with that scheme is that everyone will eventually get sick and tired of seeing remakes in the theatres, and will protest.

Since I've never even heard of most of those movies, I'm not feeling any anger, just frustration at the lack of new movies.

Actually, it was a girl. But yeah, the eye transplant leads to the girl seeing ghosts, and trying to figure out why she's seeing them and who's eyes she has.

Hollywood's been out of ideas for years. This is close as we're going to get to them admitting it.

Sounds like one of the segments in the anthology JOHN CARPENTER PRESENTS BODY BAGS, in which Mark Hamill is a baseball player who gets an eye transplant, then goes crazy when he starts having visions, and the eye belonged to a serial killer (or something like that.)

This was a movie that was produced by the two most independent film studios of the 70's. Hammer films the ones who brought us Britian's new Dracula movies starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. And Shaw Bros. who brought us classic Kung-Fu like Chinese Super Ninjas and the Five Deadly Venoms. The joined forces for a gory action film, not top notch, but it's worth a look. I have to wonder how the remake will be, probably something like Blade.
