It's Friends, not like anything surprising will happen. I've read no spoilers but just like a single episode everything is telegraphed for the end of the season. Chandler and MOnica off to the suburbs, Pheobe's happily paired off, Once again Ross and/or Rachel will have the opportunity to move off in a new direction excluding the other but in the "last" moment they will change their mind. Joey will be depressed everyone but him is moving off but we know what happens there. I figure the big faux surprise might be that Central Perk or maybe even the whole building gets sold, which also would tie up the loose end of Gunther.
The show is not Seinfeld. Fans of the show, including me, do not watch it to be surprised. It will be a well recieved but ultimately forgettable final episode like those of most of their flagship shows, Cheers, Family Ties, Cosby Show. nothing shocking, just resolution.

sorry to completely kill the thread! I guess now that we're in the very last episodes this would make a good talkback thread.
I'm still cynical though. watching the show last night I was torn between my loyalty to the show along with my curiosity as to what exactly will happen and the cringing dislike of the predictability of the episode.
-Ross and the Ralph Laren guy, oh poor Ross is embarassed again- whoopty-doo. Lord, nothing surprising there.
-Who couldn't see Janice coming? But I admit I liked Chandlers "balls receeding" jokes and how they handled getting Janice to leave. I thought they'd either lose the house they wanted so bad to get away or it'd be revealed that Janice made a really bad bid.
-But I did completely enjoy the Joey, Phoebe, Estelle story. Joey and Phoebe are still gold together.

I've just recently became a FRIENDS fan, so I'm excited for this episode. Hopefully, it'll make me laugh.
