"It's all about the ending, and this one... this one's perfect." - Mort Rainey
Release Date: March 12, 2004 Studio: Columbia Pictures Director: David Koepp Starring: Johnny Depp, Maria Bello, Timothy Hutton, Charles Dutton, John Turturro, Len Cariou
Plot Summary: Based on Stephen King's novella "Four Past Midnight: Secret Window, Secret Garden", "Secret Window" is about a writer (Depp) going through a painful divorce, who is stalked by a psychotic stranger (Turturro) who claims the writer stole his story. To force the writer to make amends, the stranger will go to any lengths, including murder.
As you all know, Secret Window came out on Friday. I got to see it this weekend and thought it was awsome! So did anyone see it? If so did you guys like it?
I thought the movie was okay the first time, when it was called The Dark Half.
"Um, when I came on the show, I was under the impression that you could win prizes or money. Not orphaned children."
The State needs to be on DVD... now.
Blarg. Bad movie. I could see everything from a mile away, like
Spoiler:
the dog getting killed, the boyfriend being a red herring, Shooter and Mort being one and the same, and "Shooter" meaning "Shoot Her" (even though he didn't actually shoot her... )
Johnny Depp is never bad, but he seemed to be running on autopilot in this one. A waste of time.
"As I bit into the nectarine, it had a crisp juiciness that was very pleasurable, until I realized that it wasn't a nectarine at all, but a HUMAN HEAD."
~Jack Handey
This movie was too predictable. Had they change some of the parts that made you know who Shooter was, and made it not as easy to figure out, then it would've been an OK movie. Also, there was a little too much comedy to keep the tension going IMO.
I liked the film. I wasn't at all sure where the film was headed, and I'm fine with that. Johnny Depp was good, as was John Turturro. I also liked the cinematography.
If I hadn't seen Identity the year before, I might've had a bigger problem with the finale.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.
