Bill and Ted on Jetix?! And Back to the Future?!

    Like This Thread!
Wait a minute....just what kind of target audience are these people shooting for? Considering that this is probably the 7-14 demographic, I thought that Bill and Ted may be a bit...."mature" for their tastes. Same goes for Back to the Future II, I thought that this was originally aimed for teenagers. There's been signs of cussing every now and then in both films, and to censor and cut them would be most hanous for many of the fans.

So what are they trying to do here? Thoughts?

Shut up and eat your Twinkie. Be glad those two films will be on the Jetix movie rotation. You want to know some of the other films coming up? Air Bud: Golden Receiver and two Disney Channel Movies (Motocrossed and Johnny Tsunami). Then Hook. In the end, if BttF2 and BaTEA didn't air on Jetix but still on ABC Family, they would still have been censored.

I enjoyed seeing Bill and Ted again after a long time. Those 2 films were popular when some of us members (including myself) were between 7 and 14. More power to Jetix for airing the films.

Hey hey! I didn't mean any offense here. I love those two movies too, and the fact that Jetix is actually airing such movies is pretty much some of its redeeming qualities.

Am I glad that these movies are on Jetix? Absolutely.

Will they open up cult classics to our younger generations and prove that 80s movies aren't that bad? Most definately.

Am I an anti hack elitist, hellbent on condemning all edits? God forbid.

My main concern is trying to figure out what the Jetix demographic is. Airing them on Toon Disney and the presence of Digimon, Beyblade, and Power Rangers gives me the impression that they're for our younger crew, 7-14. However, the fact that they air such old classics like "Back to the Future" as well as "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" seems to suggest that Jetix is for those much older, from high school to college age I reckon. My aim is not to wail on Jetix for airing them, I'm thankful that they did. I'm trying to understand if there's supposed to be continuity about it all.

It's all cool.:anime: I'm shocked that they would be airing movies at 10 am and not shows like Gargoyles and Spider-Man.
Bill and Ted and (especially) Back to the Future appeal to all generations, old and new. Sadly, I would actually enjoy having them air Turbo:A Power Rangers Movie than any Air Bud DTV feature. As for the demographic, I have no clue.

Bill and Ted is a most excellent movie.

And its sequel is most righteous!

After viewing ABC Family's airing of the Two Great Ones, here are the edits I noticed:

Rufus Addressing Bill and Ted by Full Name After Arriving at the Circle K

Both "What Number Are We Thinking" Scenes

Beer un-carded and 85% of the Poker Scene

The "Oh shhhhhhhhhhhhhh" While Traveling in the Booth

Nappy's Reaction After Destroying His Waterloo Plans (Waterslide)

Do you think they'd be able to air Bogus Journy?
