These are three peices which I've been working on recently. Well, one has been finished, but the other two are just sketches--I can't figure out what I want to do with them, like ink them, ink and color, leave them as they are, etc. Suggestions are very much appreciated!
Dick Grayson sketch
Batgirl sketch
Robin - Carrie Kelly sketch

Thanks for the replies! And yes, I'm fond of the Dick Grayson sketch the most. The shading took a while, but it was worth it. I am kinda proud of the Carrie Kelly sketch too. I never expected to turn out so well. It was the first time I've ever drawn her, and it was very enjoyable.

Those are pretty good, keep it up. Copying other artists (especially Frank Miller or Scott McDaniel) is a first step some fan artists seem to overlook... while it allows you to lay the bases for well-proportioned bodies and nice-looking shadings (for that matter McDaniel did a tremendous job on Nightwing as far as shading is concerned)
Suggestions? Try to do some drawings without anything in front of you sometimes. Only this way you will improve. Try to feel the moves, the gesture, the objects in our head as you draw them. When it comes to action scenes, you should draft some backgrounds, not single "cropped-looking" characters (like Batgirl and Carrie): I know I disregarded this piece of advice when I first heard it from some artist, and now I struggle to draw up complex figures and dynamic viewpoints.
Hope it helps. I can't tell you much since, well, 3 drawings aren't enough to judge somebody's art. But one last piece of advice: if you feel like improving regularly, draw regularly. A lot.![]()
