R-Taco's R-Tistic Attempts
Huzzah! Pun-tastic! At least, I think the title qualifies...
Instead of creating a bunch of threads like I have been, I'll just go with this one from now on. POWA!

The first one is just a batch of random sketches that I sloppily colored in Photoshop just so that I could remember what part was what. It's essentially concept work for a fantasy setting in which the world's covered in water and people live on the tops of surface-breaking ruins (I went for a Thai-inspired look).

The second is where my avatar's from & an example of my Mignola-aping.

And up third is Scarmiglione, from FFIV.

You've got a lively style and some great poses. Good Mignola method, too.
As usual I can't let anybody get away with just "looks good" comments, so here's my constructive criticism:
Watch your silhouettes. Your character designs have distinctive shapes already, so that's great, but for poses, draw limbs so they don't overlap the figures and muddle the silhouette of each character. For example, the guy in the bottom left with the rat tail; his right forearm overlaps his upper arm and his hand gets lost in the shape.

Here's a new Cheeks-inspired pic of one of the characters from the collage:

This actually isn't anywhere near the order in which I did them, but HEYWHATEVA!
Squid pirate man:

Feudal Japanese Doc Ock (Dakku Aku):

Monster of a friend's invention:

Jet-propelled dragon:

And finally, a Sloblin (get it?):

Quite a bump, but better than creating a whole new thread. Generic fantasy, HO!

Goblin:
