Mondrian is one of my favourite artists. Have you checked out his tree paintings, getting more and more abstract each time he painted it until it completely disappeared into pure form? Now that would make an interesting animation.

I made this small stopmotion animation after I saw a lot of Mondriaan's paintings in a local museum the other day.
I thought it would be a nice idea to try to animate some of his Composition pieces.
It is surely not the best I ever made but perhaps still fun to watch?

I made a revised version

After making the first version last week, I wasn't to happy.
It was to short and it was a bit dull.
That was basically also the feedback I got from you guys/girls here.
So I thought about it a bit and made an extension to my original.
It still isn't the best I ever made but i think it improved.
Hope you agree!

The new one is a big improvement. I like that there is motion added. It gives the painting some life.
I like that. Stopmotion animation is probably my second favorite form of animation, after traditional 2-D animation.
Much better.
