Technical Question: Making an auto start CD for portfolios
Rare I get to ask a question, so I expect lots of helpful advice! I spoke to Outlander about this a while back, but projects have meant it has been on the backburner all this time!
I'm going to start running select portfolios from disk, rather than sending out hardcopies.
Anybody know...
- Best way to set up an autostart?
- What sort of presentation should be placed on the CD (personally, I'm not going to do flash, probably a simple but attractive html script, but different methods/ideas welcome to support this thread as a topic for any artist wanting to build a CD portfolio!)
- What sort of presentation have you done using this approach? Any advice on the design and the use of gallery script for the CD?

from my experiance I've seen Flash/Director setups
Director is essentialy a larger and more complex version of Flash, but you can make your menu backgrounds and such way way more detailed and intricate than in flash. It's a large program so you have to spend time to learn it. It can do interactive galleries very nicely.
