Two more for the Pile
These are two projects that I've recently done in my drawing class this semester...both of which I like. Soooo I figured I'd atleast share them.
First one: Woman sitting
We had a live model for this one, basically our task was to draw the figure as fast as possible (i.e. Get the basic figure down in less then 30 seconds). After you get the basic figure down, you go back with lines and add more detail. In the end, there's simply a lot of lines flying everywhere...but you get a nice sense of what the model is and how they're sitting. Sometimes, with this particular style of drawing, you get something that has like five arms (because the initial sketch isn't perfect, so you go back and redraw the arms and such; also, no erasing allowed)...so the end result is more stylistic than realistic.
I like it though...my favorite of the maaaaaany Jester drawings we did that day.
Second One: MAN-CHEST
Not a real guy mind you...it was just a Mannequin, but I think in the final image you really can't tell.
What we had to do here, was shade the entire paper black with charcoal, then go back with a kneeded eraser and subtract from the black to essentially 'carve' out the image. All the shades in this picture were made by erasing the background...rather then adding to it. I loooooooooove the final product I got on this one. One of my favorite pieces ever.
Thats all for now.

Stunning, Discloner. These are absolutely beautiful pieces of art~ You've got basic human build down, don't you? The woman sitting piece is very pretty--certainly more stylistic and more drawing this way* I love sketching things in motion out, but this is lovely. It really is clean! :anime:
And your favourite piece ever is my favourite piece ever. That is amazing! It looks incredebly realistic and the texture (visually speaking, of course) is virtually flawless. I can't stand using kneeded erasers; I'm always so clumsy with them. But you...! You triumphed with those kloppy things~
Praise, praise, praise* Both of these are solely praise-worthy. Brag about them!! Spectacular work, Discloner!
The man with the harmonica, small time shot away. A night in Lenasia, let's runaway. Hold the line, barrel of a gun.
Music and wine, radio #1.
