Very nice - particularly like the mech work. Easy to see the manga/anime influences in your work - but, with an ID like Lodoss War Fan, I can't say that's a surprise!
So, what do you work with? Is that drawn by hand and computer coloured on, say, photoshop?
Hey thanks FrozenOriginally posted by Frozen

yup it's handdrawn and I colored it with desiger Markers and then I scanned it to the computer, the I use Photoshop to enhanced the colors and flare lens effect![]()
Ahh, good to see somebody still uses marker pens! I have the micky taken out of me constantly in our studio because I still insist on using them - as your work shows, they can still cut the mustard even in today's computer coloured world!!!
Gonna post anymore?
I tend to prefer using designer markers or airbrush paints instead of coloring with computer art programs, call me old fashion![]()

Very cool. My fav is the BGC Boomer-like mecha (Doberman?). The pic with the couple was very good as well, liked the concept of the image. On that one I felt the guy's shirt could've flowed into the oval, it would connect him more with the female (okay that's probably more of a psychological suggestion than a nitpick). Overall I like what I see and I hope to see more.

What type of markers did you use? PrismaColor? Copic?
Markers are still a viable coloring and artwork tool. The way some people can use them is amazing and I admire that for thier skill. Myself, I haven't used my Prismacolors in ages. I hated them, they never did what I wanted espically after seeing (and owning) some of Joe Chiodo's(sp?) colored pages. And they had a tendency to bleed before I knew it. I had no control over them, just like when I tried aycrilics and oils, but they were the easier of the three, until someone introduced me to PhotoShop.
One of the sad parts about my only coloring my images in PS is that my inking ability has diminshed to pathetic skills (that and 'I can correct this or that in PS' is a major crutch I've developed).
Okay I want to see one of Frozen's marker drawings now. I've only seen his line work.![]()
Ah here we go, it's the only marker work I have left. The BG buildings was done in PS (my first time) but the characters with Prismacolors.

Thanks dude, it's a ground trooper batte mech by the way![]()
Regarding the bleeding of the markers, it all depends on the type of paper you use.
I use PrismaColor markers and Design 2 art makers ( no longer made I believe, but I got a whole bunch )![]()
Nice Artwork, Great work and great character positioning
Ohhh, Bic, it's a LOOOOONG time since I did any actual compositional work with markers. These days I only use 'em for concept work/character designs (but I will be psoting some of those sooon enough, I just need to get 'em scanned!).Bic wrote:
