dc_g's JUSTICE LEAGUE pix (and more)...

    Like This Thread!
    well, hello guyz n galz...

i havent been here in a while... from wut ive seen, ive missed a lot of great art. n/e wayz, now that ive actually had the time to do some drawing in my sketchbook, i decided to add some of my works...

my cousins and i all watched the "starcrossed" dvd, and a few taped eps of "jl unlimited." these 3 hours of entertainment pretty much had me excited about the justice league, so i decided to do individual pictures of each of the core 7 members...

here they are. unlike before, i actually drew and coloured these free-hand... the quality of the pix are kinda bad. i drew them in my drawing style, but the costumes and colours are all based on the designs of the show. i dont have a scanner, so i had to use my digital camera

    SUPERMAN

    BATMAN

    WONDER WOMAN

    FLASH

    GREEN LANTERN

    J'ONN J'ONZZ

    HAWKGIRL

well, questions, comments, and concerns are alwayz welcome. enjoy!

BTW, i may be adding more pictures, including the extended members of the justice league unlimited, the bat-family, and the teen titans (all from DCAU continuity).

Welcome back, looks like you've been very busy

Hawkgirl: I like this a lot, she's got a great determined expression on her face and the subtle colours work nicely.

Martian Manhunter: Good colours again, I was a little confused by his legs to begin with, they seemed too short but looking again I see his body is curved/arched forward which makes more sense (its early here, my senses are still in hibernation)

GL: I like the 'smudgy' feel to this one, it would look good against a dark background as there's a great 'glow' to him. Nicely proportioned too.

Flash: I really like this one, his expression is bordering on the slightly twisted grin but it works well. Great action pose too. My favourite of the bunch.

Wonder Woman: Diana looks very young and rather petulant here, again a nice dynamic pose.

Batman: My other favourite along with Flash, a real 'comin' attcha' pose and his face is just so expressive & again lovely subtle shades really make the picture. I have to say its a pity his wings had to be clipped though.

Superman: I'm not Supes' biggest fan so I'm not that familiar with his latest looks so this face is a new one on me, much more rugged than the clean cut look I'm used to but hey, looks good.

Great stuff, looking forward to seeing more.

SUPERMAN - Interesting characterisation. Looks almost boyish and a lot more emotionally agressive than normally depicted.

BATMAN - Again, as aggressive looking, but very much in character. Interesting pose.

WONDER WOMAN - My fav so far as proportions go. I like the shape of the legs, they are what make the picture for me.

FLASH - An aggressive set you have. Nicely done. Style really comes through here.

GREEN LANTERN - Not overkeen on his six pack.. But I like the expression an dynamic.

J'ONN J'ONZZ - Possibly my overall favourite pic. Not as dynamic as the rest, but the curve to the legs and atmosphere real make this stand out in terms of style.

HAWKGIRL - Not overkeen on the thumping cannonballs, but that's a personal preference. Wings could maybe be a little more flexible, but I like the angle and overall body pose.

Nice colouring. Natural colouring seems far more fashionable this year!

Hawkgirl ~ "thumping cannonballs." hmm, interesting word choice, SJJ. Well, aside from those, the thing that stuck out most for me was her expression. While Rune saw it as determined, I saw it as saw, and maybe a tad regretful.

J'onn J'onzz ~ I was wondering about what kind of position you could do for him. A nice choice there, considering, he's usually a mellow character.

Green Lantern ~ Cool, JLU GL. Yup, he's about ready to kick some bad guy butt.

Flash ~ Excellent choice in position in this one, too. The only thing is that the angle of his left arm is a tad akward.

Wonder Woman ~ I like your poses. She looks nice and buff.

Batman ~ probably my favorite of the batch. Really nice pose, and his expression is perfect. Great job on this one!

Superman ~ I think his face looks slightly off. Mayby his eyebrows are a bit too bushy? Well, everything else looks nice, from the billowing cape to his nicely proportioned 'S'.

    Nice work, all around!
