    House of Mouse

OMG this show on Toon Disney is so funny! It has Mickey, Beast, Belle, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Aladdin, Simba. Really, almost every character. Except for the Pixar characters unfortunately. And plus the cartoons are new and funny with some classic cartoons also. And not only do we not just see cartoons. Stuff goes on at the club too. Anyway this show is so funny!

This show is very nicely done. They have The Price is right announcer Rod Roddy on there, as well as most of the classic characters and cameos of the characters from the animated movies. No one from the Disney afternoon, though. What I like best is how they tie in a full ep story from the House into the shorts, I personally can't see why they ended this show so quickly, unless they didn't....

I remember that MICKEY'S MOUSEWORKS was a series of cartoon shorts that evolved into HOUSE OF MOUSE. I never watched the show religiously but it was cool how they brought all the Disney characters together (particularly the classic, non-movie based ones) and based a show on that.

I still wished that the Disney Afternoon characters appeared; that was when Disney's TV shows were in their prime.

I like the "Mickey Mouse Works" cartoon shorts the best. The "Muppet Show" nature of "House Of Mouse" just dosen't do it for me, but it has it's moments.

I can't stand that show. To me it's not worth watching to catch a brief glimse of a favorite character.
I guess this means that we'll be seeing Jimmy's ugly CGI face pop
into all the different Nick shows like he's the all-important god of the
    network. God, I hate Nick.

I agree with all your opinions. The show is funny and clever...and it overuses old footage like crazy...and it only shows our favorite characters from the movies for a second or two. Still, enjoyable!

Are they still airing new episodes? I haven't been able to catch HoM on ABC Saturday Mornings for quite some time now.

As far as I know, it died with Disney's One Saturday Morning. There are repeats galore on Disney Channel and Toon Disney.

I really liked this series simply for the fact that it brought back the goodness Disney once had. When I was little we had the Disney channel, and for the most part, they used to show the OLD mickey cartoons during the day. Disney has been using Mickey as a trademark for so long, I wondered if he was in any cartoons from the last 50 years. Alas he wasn't until Mouseworks was aired. It went back to the simple, comedic, short cartoons that made Disney famous.

I also like their ability for self-paraody. It started in Alladin, and then used as the whole promotional campaign for Lilo and Stitch. This series is a keeper.

Like it, love it, want more of it.

Seriously, maybe Disney is getting back to their roots. "The Emperor's New Groove" and "House of Mouse" are encouraging signs.

    And then we have Atlantis...

Actually, they're airing episodes that DIDN'T air when the show was on ABC.

That show seems to be fairly good. More Donald, Mickey and Goofy I say. The heck with Tarzan and Buzz Lightyear.

Hey, why is everyone bashing Atlantis? I thought it was a great "serious" movie. It could have been a little longer, though.

Anyhow, I certainly hope Disney is getting back to their roots. CGI movies aside, they've gone downhill after the huge success of THE LION KING. None of the movies that succeeded it were nearly as good as Disney's early 90's films (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, ALADDIN, LION KING, and LITTLE MERMAID, even). Hell, I'm the guy that thought A GOOFY MOVIE was the best movie in Disney's 1995 movie line-up, not HUNCHBACK or whatever was released.

Classic Disney cannot be beat. We need moreof that.
