There was a thread a while back from Captain "Hank" Murphy called The Official I Hate Toon Disney Topic. Well, it's a new season and Toon Disney has made changes. I'll be quoting from some of Captain "Hank" Murphy's comments.
First and foremost Toon Disney has drastically reduced the number of repeat airings of any given show. On weekdays, only Goof Troop and Aladdin have more than two daily airings (those series have 3, although each one has a timeslot late at night). A major improvement IMO.
There are 2 new shows that are exclusively on Toon Disney now: Ultimate Book of Spells airs at 10:30 am daily and Toad Patrol airs weekends at 7:00am and 7:30am.2.The have no Toon Disney Original shows
The second most drastic change is that they have completely overhauled their bumpers and promos for a new look. Gone are the annoying kids that tried to capture various characters, like Goliath from Gargoyles in the daytime. Instead of that, they now use a generic swirl-like background of various colors with a unique font. Trust me, it looks much better than their old bumpers. They simply say things like "Don't go away. Aladdin will be back on Toon Disney" when going to commercial break now. Also, the network definitely seems less childish as their new slogan is Built from the Best Toons and I haven't seen any annoying kids yet on the network.4.Gives hardly any respect to their shows-I mean on CN, they give shows like JL and SJ a more serious mood in their comercials and eye catches, but on TD, the entire 24s is filled with the same goofy, boring, stupid style. A good example would be those comercials of those kids hunting Disney Toons in a forest and one showed Goliath........ in the day time. Can you imagin if TD had a show like SJ? (Anouncer-"Even Samurais need a break, Samurai Jack will be back on Toon Disney." *minutes later* "The evil Acu is back, and so is Samurai Jack on Toon Disney. Hey, that rhymes.")
5.They think all forms of animation is souly is just for kids, period-The perfect example is that short comercial of those scientis testing a kid and cat to see if Toon Disney has toons just for kids.
I feel that this is a major step in the right direction for Toon Disney. Now if I could only convince them to air The Ink and Paint Club on the network, all would be good. Captain "Hank" Murphy, I highly, highly recommend that you check out the network now. I think it'll be worth your time.

I'm just so glad they brough Tale Spin back. Of course, we all could do without the Olsen twins animated show.
I guess this means that we'll be seeing Jimmy's ugly CGI face pop
into all the different Nick shows like he's the all-important god of the
network. God, I hate Nick.

yeah, about FRICKIN TIME! eh, what do i care? i don't get toon disney. i want to see gargoyles so badly though.Originally posted by Jon "WB" Gray

A Definite step in the right direction. I'm liking it already.
Cat-Tales - The real Gotham After Dark.
Yeah, the graphics look good, the repeatablity of their library is diminished, and the original shows (Toad Patrol is a perfect example of a cutesy action show and not an oxymoron), but the majority of shows on the lineup still reads like a list of grave markers from lineups long ago:
One Saturday Morning -
Previous Additions:
Doug (1995-2001)
Pepper Ann (1996-2001)
The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (198?-2002)
New Additions:
Sabrina The Animated Series (1997-2002)
Weekenders (2000-2002)
Lloyd in Space (2001-2002)
Teacher's Pet (2000-2002)
Mary Kate and Ashley in Action (2001-2002)
Teamo Supremo (still on One Saturday Morning . . . for now)
House of Mouse (1998-2002)
Don't get me wrong, I like a few of these shows, and I love the removal of hour blocks of on prime-time (something I wish CN would get rid of). But the OSM additions on Toon Disney shouldn't have been the only additions to the lineup. I mean, like I said, they should have added some of the Saban/Fox Kids shows on the Toon Disney lineup.
I'm done ranting for now![]()
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.
I miss my daily hour of Gargoyles ;_;
If you can wait until the end of October, Toon Disney will be showing all the episodes of Gargoyles. I have calculated the number of episodes airing those 4 nights at 78, a very important number. Why? Because that includes both the entire run of Gargoyles' 65 original episodes, and the 13 Goliath Chronicles episodes. That means we can assume Deadly Force will be airing during this special marathon. See Toonzone's news page for more info.Originally posted by Galvatron

They should get Ink & Paint Club on ToonDisney, especially since The Disney Channel (which is definitely run by "Pod People!") is about to take all the late-night "Vault Disney" showsOriginally posted by Batman192

(including vintage Zorro and Mickey Mouse Club etc. etc.) off the air. And the Baby Boomers who watch those shows are none too happy about it...
I can hardly wait (sort of) to check out this Toon Disney thing. We just got Digital Cable in my little 'burg (I'm not getting mine installed before 9/23--earliest date I could get--*SIGH!*).
The "Ink & Paint Club" would be A good addition to Toon Disney. It could be their answer to "Toon Heads". They should also get "Kim Possible" as well. Maybe not right away, but the sooner, the better.
