Who thinks Darkwing Duck should've made a movie?

I would've loved to see DW making it on the big screen for at least one time. I mean it's an unwritten law where a superhero needs a movie. Disney made 2 movies out of Goof Troop and they made that Legends of the Lost Lamp from DuckTales, so it could be made happen, but Disney didn't. Anyone else think differently or same?

Ahhhh, the DW movie, how long have I dreamed of such a film....
Actually back when I was *really* hopped up on DW I wrote a screenplay (I was in 9th grade at the time) for a DW film that involved Negaduck, and Gos as Quiverwing and the fearsome five and jeez, I wonder where that thing is? The plot wasn't that bad now that I think about it, but the writing probably left a lot to be desired. I'd rewrite it and mail it to Eisner for free.

DW always had a lot more dramatic, movie potential for a DAFT show I think, it always seemed like it was more grand scale than Disney ever wanted. The main characters from DW were much more dynamic and humanistic than Goof Troop, a lot of room for examination of parent/child relationships over a great backdrop of action. Banishing it to TD is a crime (I have to crash at friends just to see it now and then)

Thats cool that you had an idea for a movie and a screenplay worked out for it. My idea for a movie was a prequel as to why DW wanted to become DW, which would tie into that one episode when it was the creation of Megavolt that turned Drake the Dweeb into Darkwing Duck. As well as it tying into Darkwing adopting Goslin and meeting Launchpad. Also had a twist where it involved Darkwing and Negaduck being seperated at "hatching" because Negaduck was just being a brat to Darkwing and the other ducklings.

Heck yeah! I'd love to see Darkwing Duck on the big screen! My idea for A Darkwing Duck movie involves someone like The Watcher observing how he fights crime, and point out his flaws. (Even though DW is good at what he dose, he still has A long way to go.) Steel Beak could recruit the Fearsome Five like when Kingpin recruited The Insidious Six. A Darkwing Duck movie could be very dramatic while at the same time be hysterically funny, and poke fun at the superheroe gerne. If A Darkwing Duck movie ever happens, they need to get most of the original team who worked on the series including producers Tad Stones, and Alan Zasolve to work on it. Also, they should team up with Mark Dindail, and Chris Williams. Their brand of humor in "The Emperor's New Groove" would be perfect for such A project! I'm pretty sure Jim Cummings would be willing to reprise his role as Darkwing, but I don't know if Terry McGovern would come back to do Launchpad. Christine Cavanaugh has unfortunately retired from voice acting, so getting her back to do Gosalyn won't be easy. They could also get Rob Paulsen, (Steel Beack) Dan Castelleneta, (Megavolt) and Michael Bell, (Quacker Jack) to do this as well. It's been years since Darkwing Duck ended it's run, but A movie is long overdue in my opinion. If done right, it would be A fun picture.
