well to put it simply... toon dizney sucks hard. i dont think i need anymore explanation.
I'm sure this is the most well knowen fact that TOON DISNEY is just plain..... (well I was gonna say retarted but that would be a major insult to all mentaly-handycaped people to compare them with that accursed channel.) stupid, but I never seen any offcial topics covering it, so I made one. But, it's not just a dissing topic, it's also to point out what major problems we see on it, and what we think they should change.(I know it won't change anything but it's nice to express our ideas.)
1.Hardly any new eps on any shows-You would think on a chanel they control, that they would make new eps for any past show they want and as many as they want. The last time they had any new eps was when Teacher's pet first came on, and that didn't last for long. It's nice to see those eps from the past but would it break the bank just to make a few new eps for at least one show?
2.The have no Toon Disney Original shows-All their stuff is shows that bombed on other channels. I would like to see some shows made just for toon disney(like CN's Justice Leage and Samurai Jack).
3.All they do is make new blocks with old eps-Instead putting in any effort of fixing my first complaint, they just take their old shows and rearange them in new blocks.
4.Gives hardly any respect to their shows-I mean on CN, they give shows like JL and SJ a more serious mood in their comercials and eye catches, but on TD, the entire 24s is filled with the same goofy, boring, stupid style. A good example would be those comercials of those kids hunting Disney Toons in a forest and one showed Goliath........ in the day time. Can you imagin if TD had a show like SJ? (Anouncer-"Even Samurais need a break, Samurai Jack will be back on Toon Disney." *minutes later* "The evil Acu is back, and so is Samurai Jack on Toon Disney. Hey, that rhymes.")
5.They think all forms of animation is souly is just for kids, period-The perfect example is that short comercial of those scientis testing a kid and cat to see if Toon Disney has toons just for kids. Another good example that the place is run by soccer moms is the editing they did in Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles, they never show anything involving gun violence(they won't even show that ep where Brodway accidently shoots Elisa(wich I think was a good way to show that you are not to play with guns.)). This most likely means we will never see any new eps of Gargoyles unless they are dumbed down to the PTA's standards.
Got any complains about TD of your own?
well to put it simply... toon dizney sucks hard. i dont think i need anymore explanation.
Now, wait a minute.
Okay, I am not going to say that Toon Disney is great. It does have problems. Disney's operation makes it impossible to be as liberal as CN.
Disney is a centerpiece of what American animation is, whether we like it or not (and many of us don't). Disney's focal point has always been young children, in recent years specifically young girls. Disney has another channel to showcase new stuff, like Kim Possible and Tarzan (syndicated), and the stuff on ABC Family. They have a bad habit of canning shows after two or so years.
But the one thing I don't get is the fact that Disney used to exclusively air stuff produced by them after it's merger with ABC. This sent shows like Reboot, Pirates of Dark Water, and Sonic SatAM to the trash. Gargoyles, argubly their greatest cartoon was killed on Saturday Morning by the editing of the storyline. See, with Cartoon Network, they needed to grab a lot of cartoons, more than they could ever produce. So they went out and got Reboot (and Mainframe), they started investing in anime, they got Hanna-Barbera, etc. They apparently were not afraid of the serious cartoon, they needed the airtime. Now Disney is catching on, with their Saban stuff. It's fine to have Ducktales, Tale Spin, etc., but 65 episode runs air four times a day gets old very fast, when you only have 10 cartoons and few borrowed ones.
I compare Toon Disney more with Boomerang than with Cartoon Network. Not every cable watcher has both, most have neither. Most have CN and ABC Family. ABC Family has the better cartoons anyway. Remember that Disney wasn't recognized as a "serious cartoon" source until Gargoyles, the other so-called hokey stuff was just simply kiddie entertainment. It's the old days of Disney, because their new orginal series are out spreading themselves rather thinly ratings-wise (except for ABC Family's action block and Kim Possible) across three networks. CN just has themselves, and their sickenly cute kid sister network Kids WB taking the PPG (sorry, just had to vent that).
In short, Toon Disney is not meant for us older folks, which spells very bad news for Disney animation. Toon Disney is nothing more than a 24 hour advertisement for the other Disney networks. I only stick with it because I love Gargoyles, I laugh at Bonkers, and don't mind Aladdin much. If you can take the network for just an advertising network, you won't hate it with such a passion.

They edited Darkwing Duck????
I knew that channel was bad but come on!! They made Darkwing Duck! They made it like 10 years ago!
If they're gonna air stuff THEY make and then edit it then THEY shouldn't air it at all!
Well it was just mostly over gun stuff.
Why in the hell would u want them to make new cartoons all the new disney cartoons are awfull? I wish they show some more old classic Disney toons. Man I want to wacth some Goofy toons.
Not true, Tarzan the series had it's momments and gargoyles was a hit. Maybe there could be a few people left in their that care more about making a good cartoon, than just money. Why in the hell would u want them to make new cartoons, all the new disney cartoons are awfull.
This brings up another complaint for me.I wish they show some more old classic Disney toons. Man I want to wacth some Goofy toons.
They have no respect for the classic cartoons-I'm talking about how they show tons of their modern crap over and over again in the same day, but only shows the classic cartoons, that helped make Disney a succsess, in one late 30 minute block.
Toon Disney announced their fall schedule last week, and it included mainly ABC One Saturday Morning series. It also contained two new series, but they really do not sound that all interesting. For more info, click here.
Yeah, from the looks of their schedule, Toon Disney is getting in the right direction. More cartoons is better.
Looks like Ultimate Book of Spells is from BKN. I wonder if Toon Disney is going to nab their other stuff, like the Amazing Adventures cartoons, or Extreme Ghostbusters, or the Mask. That would be a good move. Personally, I want to see Skysurfer Strike Force and Mighty Max again.
Later.
I am happy to not get Toon Disney. I wish I could dump the Disney Channel right about now, although I did pay attention to one show on it recently.
Corn is not a vegetable any more than a peanut is a nut, and a peanut is not a nut!
Toon Disney used to air Bump in The Night and DIC Cartoons. Disney use to own DIC but sold them back two years ago.
True, Toon Disney has some probems but where else can you see Darkwing Duck and Gargoyle? Zoog Disney?
They edit DW? That's a crime! I don't like that it always has that same introduction. There were a few different ones even if the song was the same. Different images made the difference.
Toon Disney, while I like it and think it's a great idea... it lacks what it needs to be great! For one thing having show shown more than once a day gets tedious (except for DW that is), and they always seem to be airing the same episodes over and over again.
What TD needs is better structure. For one thing they could really expand their "Hanging With the Hero's" block and add some stuff from ABC Family's action line-up.
Here is my proposed schedule with an extra hour with some actual hero's to "hang with".
-Hercules
-Alladin
-Spider-Man
-Spider-Man: Unlimited
-X-Men
-The Incredible Hulk
-Mighty Ducks
-Gargoles
And airing the original Spider-Man 60's cartoon durring the weekdays would be great too.
Another thing I see TD doing that I don't like is adding all the stuff that has failed on One Saturday Morning. Team-o Supremo is one of the stupidest shows I've seen Disney come up with, and now they are bringing it to TD with new episodes...
TD also needs to rely less on Doug and Pepper Ann. A half hour of each in the Magical World of Toons would be just fine with me, and most people. There are better shows to be placed in these areas.
Here is a proposed Magical World of Toons schedule:
-Doug
-Pepper Ann
-Teacher's Pet (I'm a strangely drawn to this show)
-Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
-Darkwing Duck
-Duck Tales
-An hour of Spider-Man: the Animated Series
(with all the hype you can bet the ratings would be good, and there are many episodes so two a night would be fine)
Then Gargoyles could be joined by X-Men in a 2 Hour late night action block.
On fridays things could get switched up a bit:
I think the movie covers part of the Magical World of Toons or this spot could be Doug and PA if it must be
-*New* Teacher's Pet (since that is already the case)
-Disney's House of Mouse (an interesting show...)
-The Weekenders (this show rocks!)
-Quack Pack (the story that comes after Duck Tales)
-An hour of Spider-Man: Unlimited
-An hour of Gargoyles
-An hour of Hulk
I'm also sick of Madeline and Rupert, but there isn't much that I can do about that if the kiddies like 'em...
And lastly, they need the REAL Sonic animated series. Sonic SatAM! It ruled! It should be on TD instead of that cutesy crud. It would great.
That's my rant and my ideas. Thank you for reading...

>blinks< Oh...my God...
>blinks again< I can't believe it...
>blinks a third time< They EDITED Darkwing Duck? As in, Darkwing Duck, the Masked Mallard?
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Disney MAKE that cartoon? If they saw anything wrong with it, why didn't they edit it THEN? And, about gun crap, stick on at a later time, if it REALLY bugs you that much. I mean, for God's sake, it's DARKWING DUCK. Come on!
Good thing I don't have Toon Disney, or I'd be throwing a serious fit right about now. >kicks the monkeys that run Toon Disney< But, ahem, nevermind me.![]()
Well, actually, I think they should play MORE of the classic Disney shorts. You know, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, etc.
I mean they celebrated Donald's birthday with garbage like Quack Pack, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, and all of that junk.![]()

responding to something i saw earlier... tarzan the series was a horrible piece of crap...
I forgat I am pissed they took Tailspin off and put Rupert on yuck.
not to put a sour on anything but they could air EscaFlowne Butchered as hell but they still could I mean they have the rights
"Little did Speed Racer know that Racer X was his long lost brother Rex."
-Speed Racer (everytime Racer X is on the screen)
I did not believe this until I checked the schedule. It's true Tale Spin fans, it's not there. No wonder I was always "missing" itOriginally posted by Indelent

This might fit into the gun theory. Let's face it, Don Carnage used the gun rather liberally on the show, though he never did hit anyone.
And the show is about airplanes, maybe Disney is being really kiddie-sensitive to the attacks last September, so they won't air it anymore.
Scary.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Tailspin, Darkwing Duck, and Ducktails were my childhood! How could they do these aweful things to the greatest television cartoons Disney ever put out?
I'm so glad I don't get Toon Disney...
