Roger Ebert Gives "Lilo & Stitch" Thumbs Up
Though admittedly, he usually does seem to favor animated movies as it is...
Note the spoilers toward the end, though the first third of the review discusses how he deplored "Scooby Doo" (which he admitted he'd never seen a single episode of, but still found it wretched), and how he was disappointed how much money it made/how he fears it'll make more cash than "Lilo" (none of us figured it'd rake in $56 mil on its opening weekend either...admist all the cries about how it'll "oh-so-inevitably bombs" and such :-) :

BTW he also gave "Minority Report" (Spielberg's new film) four stars...

Sorry, but I can't trust Ebert any more. My agreements on movies always seem to be on-off with his. I just hope L&S is an "on" review, as I'm aiming to see it today or tomorrow.

Or MAYBE it's because, like, you're getting older and starting to develop some of your own opinions instead of going by everyone else's?

Come now Jojo
Anyway since when does Ebert give animated movies bad ratings.

Well, at least he gave Cool World the bad review it deserved. Of course Mark O'Hare worked on that film and he went on to work on Spongebob and Citizen Dog. So even cruddy animated movies can just be a result of bad luck.
At least we are lucky enough to have someone with mainstream influence to give preference to animated feature films.
