    Disney's Kim Possible

    Like This Thread!
I was wondering what everyone thought of it?

If you dont have disney it will air Saturday mornings on ABC

    heres my opinions......

    not that funny
    not the best animation

you can tell bonnie is kirstin storms

yet its unique for disney;s tween section, and its full of action, i like it but its nothing to run home to watch. it doesnt have too much girly stuff in it like its supposed to either.

To dream the Kim Possible dream....

Will it air on ABC in the fall, or will it be a summer replacement series? I'm somewhat intrigued by the promos--think Totally Spies, but just one girl, and half the Spies' age....

It's not really like Totally Spies at all. Both somewhat spoof the genre, but Kim Possible does it better, and never takes itself seriously.

And how could you not like tonight's episode? Pat Warburton got many choice lines in it.

And they had a nod to Clerks: The Animated Series! I was expecting Ron to yell "YOU FEEL THAT IN YOUR FACE, KIM?! WAHOO-NOOTCH!"

I actually decided to watch it entirely because of the naked mole rat. My gf and I are exotic pet people, we both find it cool that they gave a character something other than a dog, cat or monkey for a change. I can`t think of many other cartoons with an animal sidekick not immediately recognizeable to all children. Johnny Quest was originally going to have an exotic pet, but Hanna Barbera decided dogs were more marketable.

Anyway, yeah. It`s written pretty good. A lot better than I expected and you`re right.. it`s not all girly. Thank god!

they got the idea for that pet from the philadelphia zoo ...

Disney higher-ups liked the idea - with one reservation. They requested the writers add the obligatory pet.

Dog? Cat? Been there, done that. During a trip home, Schooley visited the Philadelphia Zoo and got a better idea.

"I noticed the school groups and kids were all clustered around this naked mole rat," he "I guess because it's just such an ugly animal. So when they told us to add a pet, instead of a dog or cat we gladly added a naked mole rat

The strength of Totally Spies lies in its action sequences and its animation when compared to Kim Possible. Totally Spies is essentially an action show with comedic elements, as opposed to Kim Possible, which is just the opposite from what I've seen so far.

I hope these analogies aren't too far fetched, but Totally Spies reminds me quite a bit of Power Rangers with the amount of action sequences per episode. Kim Possible has more of a Darkwing Duck feel to it, with the comedic supervillains being the greatest similarity between the two shows.

"You think you're all that.... but you're not..."

Alright, I utterly hate Totally Spies, cuz it seems to be trying too hard to be hip and cool and it seems like that's its only purpose.

I was pre-disposed to hating Kim Possible cuz it was a Disney production and it seemed like it was going to be another Totally Spies, but it's not!

It is with deep regret and sadness that I have to admit that I really like Kim Possible. It's not often you see a cartoon like this from Disney that's actually funny. It's not trying to be hip and cool, it's trying to be funny and it does it well. Action sequences are well choreographed and smoothly animated. And Ron Stoppable ferkin' rules as the cut-up every-goofy-man. While watching it and after the introduction of Ron I started thinking of what my super name would be in the universe, Ken Vincible!

I would've preferred to hate the show, but I can't. It's prime stuff, I just wish it was on Cartoon Network.

I like both Totally Spies and Kim Possible, but it's taking a while to get used to them. It's been a while since I've watched these kind of cartoons.

I have grown to obsess over series that have a continuing plotline, like Exosquad and Gargoyles.

I am giving them time, though...

    Later...

he is the main reason why I started watching the show, and it turned out to be actually GOOD. I cant believe Disney went through with its creation! thank god!
