    Next 3 Pixar films announced

    Like This Thread!
[indent]Well, I think Finding Nemo had actually been announced previously, but there are two more revealed now. We finally know what the Iron Giant guy is working on also. No word yet though on the future of the Disney/Pixar relationship. Anyway, from The Hollywood Reporter:

Pixar, Dis tout wet and wheeled release schedule
    April 22, 2002
The Walt Disney Co. and Pixar Animation Studios have announced their next three planned films, an eclectic group -- featuring fish, superheroes and automobiles -- that is scheduled to roll out during the coming three years. The slate includes "Finding Nemo," an underwater adventure from "A Bug's Life" co-director Andrew Stanton; "The Incredibles," a superhero comedy from "Iron Giant" director Brad Bird; and "Cars," which will mark Pixar executive John Lasseter's return to the director's chair. The announcement did not address the future of the Disney-Pixar partnership once the three films are released. The three projects presumably will complete Pixar's current five-film contract with Disney, though Sunday's announcement made no specific mention about the fulfillment of the contract's terms. Disney and Pixar executives could not be reached for comment.

I already heard a little something about the fish film, but the superhero film could be rather interesting, especially if it is done by the "Iron Giant" director. (vastly underrated film in my opinion) But considering the last several Pixar films, we are definately in for some interesting stuff these times.

Anything by Brad Bird has already got my attention, and I am looking forward to seeing the other two. Sounds like they are really challenging themselves (do you think they would have attempted underwater scenes when they did Toy Story? They were not able to make it look that good at that time!) and they always seem to deliver the goods. At least somebody working for Disney is giving us worthy movies, because Disney sure is not.

I've been keeping my finger on the pulse of all 3 of these for a while now at Upcomingmovies.com .

    Finding Nemo

    The Invincibles

    Route 66
My origins have been clouded in mystery... some say that I was once a man, known as Hamato Yoshi. Another tale states that I was once merely a humble pet rat of a man named Hamato Yoshi. For the record allow me to state that both are true... and yet, neither is true. Such is the way of Ninjitsu.

Yup, we've known about this for quite some time. Still, it's worth repeating... they look like three great projects.
