Wow, what a random addition to the schedule! Aside from the awful singing sections, Sonic Underground was my 2nd favorite Sonic cartoon(after SatAM).
Reminds me of how the Adventures of Sonic was on Toon Disney for a time.
The latest scheduling listings for Disney XD have been just released and Sonic Underground will be joining the schedule starting June 11th. It will air weekdays at 10 AM.
I'm currently piecing together complete scheduling archives of programming blocks. I am in need of info for: Fox Kids, CBS Kidshow, Toonami, One Saturday Morning, DIC Kids Network, Disney Afternoon, JETIX on ABC Family, JETIX on Toon Disney, SNICK, and Adult Swim. Please send me a PM if you can provide airdates for shows or have large video collections from these lineups.

guys, don't fall for this!!, remember the stitch anime coming to america and recess coming back, well i think the same's gonna be for this!!, they're only gonna air it 4 days and that's it!!
Whether it airs one episode or it's entire run this is still random as all get out.

I won't be watching, since I didn't like the show, but still. Kudos to XD for taking a risk like this.
Random quote (changes once in a while)
"I have sacrificed much to achieve peace. So too must a new generation sacrifice to maintain that peace. Responsibility! Duty! Honour! These are not mere virtues to which we must aspire! They are essential to every soldier, to every king!"

It's not that random, really. As mentioned, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog aired on that channel way back in the day.
Dunno why no US network apparently wants anything to do with SatAM. It's always gotten the shaft of the 3 Sonic shows.

While that is a possibility, I doubt it because it's not that dark. Certainly there are other shows that rival or surpass it in that regard and still aired in recent years (Gargoyles, for example). I suspect that the issue is probably more likely that it's simply too short for a daily run. At 26 episodes, SatAM is much shorter than the 65 AoSTH and the 40 SU episode series. That's five weeks compared to 13 or 8 respectively. Unless they rotate it with the others, which they probably fear would confuse the kiddies, it's just not as appealing due to the length.
Luckily, all three classic series (and the Christmas special) are available on DVD, so they aren't locked away or anything.
Really? That's an...odd choice. 0_o Glad to see an older Sonic show back on the tube, though. If anything, it'll give me a chance to watch all of the episodes not featuring Knuckles that I haven't seen. (Haven't picked up the DVDs yet.)

If this is true, of all the Sonic shows Disney XD could have chosen they picked Underground... The worst of the 4. That doesn't even make sense, you'd think they would have gone with Sonic X, you know something more recent. And with 4Kids being on the verge of bankruptcy I don't think they would've said no.
If they were gonna go after a DiC series they should've picked SatAM.
Its currently scheduled to air throughout the entire month. I guess we'll see how long it lasts.

Ugh... Couldn't they be airing SatAM instead?
They're all on Netflix anyway so I guess it doesn't matter, but still.
mind if i ask: what's wrong with this show? i know it wasn't bad so what's wrong with it?
what are you looking at, mang?
Personally i'd prefere SATAM or AOSTH. But yeah, its just nice to have a Sonic cartoon (aside from X, lol.) On TV again.

The two largest complaints, I find, were that it was too radically different than SatAM (which aside from having a mostly-new cast, the premise was more similar than different) and the fact that each episode featured a song (which took less than 2 minutes per episode, so I don't see what the big deal was about them).

My memory of this show is very hazy, but I remember it being your prototypical 90s series. It had a glaringly loud rock opening (THEY MADE A VOW THEIR MOTHER WILL BE FOUND SONIC UNDERGROUND), and was pretty much your usual 90s trying to be extreme show. You have super rocker Sonic and his brother and sister who just happen to play in a band together. You also have Jaleel White voicing a female character.
Let me state that again, you also have Jaleel White voice a female character.

While a low episode count certainly doesn't help, I think another reason why no network wants to rerun SatAM is because of the fact the series ends on a cliffhanger.

I'd actaully like AOSTH to be on Disney XD. But, I suppose this is good news that a Sonic show is going to be on the newtork formerly known as Toon Disney.
That's nice. I have two DVDs of that show. But since I don't have Disney XD, I won't be able to see this. But I don't really care so much about it, so it's fine.
