Did Phineas and Ferb always centure so much around Candace?

I remember when it had three plots, one where it was a lot of the times about Phineas and Ferb fixing there inventions. Two, Perry V.S Doofenshmirtz. and 3, Cadace busting her brothers. Well lately it seems to be more about Candace busting her brothers, while Phineas and Ferb take a back seat. Any one else noticing this? Its bothering me. I love the show, it has fun songs and I love all its characters, I am getting annoyed by it being about Candace a lot though Any one else?

Candace is basically the breakout character on the show, because, well....she's probably the funniest. Phineas and Ferb have their occasional moments, but they're basically there to be the catalyst for everyone else's adventures it seems like. The only eps I've seen as of late where they actually had to deal with some stuff was The Beak and the Christmas one.

Candace's role as the comic foil, coupled with her own plots with Jeremy and her friends et al, proved popular, so the writers expanded on her role accordingly.

Another reason for Candace's ascension is simply that Phineas and Ferb never screw up. They don't make mistakes, their plans never hit a snag, they never get in over their heads and it never looks like they may not succeed. Heck, they don't even argue or disagree. I don't think I've even ever seen either of them get angry, scared or upset. Candace, by contrast, has flaws and foibles, so she often comes off as the more interesting character by default.

Candace is the main character of interest. Maybe it's because the villian doesn't always act as villiany as he did in earlier episodes, or maybe it's because BlackSheep finds more screen time then Phineas or Ferb among the ten-year-old tikes but for whatever reason, Candace and maybe her mom and Jeremy are more popular then the 'main' characters.

Um, you know what? Here's the thing.....Phineas and ferb would be VERY boring without Candace...here's why..think about it..::**IF** Phineas and ferb was ONLY about two boys just building amazing things..(WHICH I reiterate, some they really SHOULDN"T build and ARE too young to do...) AND **IF** these boys did NOT have a big sister who did NOT have a relationship with a guy (Jeremy of course) Then the show would REALLY get boring after a while..See, to ME at least, I like to see PHineas and ferb ONLY because I want to see what will happen with Candace and Jeremy because the show would be very boring to me otherwise..the show wouldn't be interesting if it was ONLY about two boys building something every single episode and nothing else...**SIGH** But that;s just my opinion....

Calm down. We get that you're only interested in Candace and the would-be coupling, but there's no need to rag on someone else for having a different opinion on the subject. It's not necessary to come out with both arms swinging whenever someone says that Candace isn't their favorite part of the show.

Some people, I think, need to realize that Candace is a part of the show too and not just Phineas and ferb.....Candace isn't that bad. I just hope that this thread doesn't turn into a candace bashing thread.

I don't recall anyone here saying that Candace wasn't part of the show, nor have I read any posts bashing the character so far. Seriously, relax.

Basically, it's what Silverstar already said: Candace became a more versatile character than Phineas and his tag team partner Ferb because Candace is a flawed character. She's allowed to fail and look foolish and to suffer, which makes her a more human and relateable character than P&F. P&F got pushed more into the background of later episodes because there's no conflict in their escapades. Everyone always works out for them and everything that they do happens without a hitch.

Phineas & Ferb is a cartoon. It's not supposed to be realistic. Animals aren't supposed to talk or wear clothes or hold down jobs either, but they do in cartoons.

Yah, I didn't bash her character at all.
I'm just saying, latley its been a bit more about her than the boys.
I like both plots and would like to see both how it was.

I agree that Candace is there to add a bit of drama. I never really cared for her or Phineas and Ferb. I'm more into Perry and Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz
