Random Quote#42:
Christians don't believe in gravity.
------Peter Griffin [Family Guy]
Which Beagle Boy is Which?
Big Time - the short, bossy one of the main threesome. Had the same voice as the McWolf character from the Droopy cartoons from Tom and Jerry kids.
Burger - he's the one everyone knows: the overweight one with the bite taken out of his prison number.
Bouncer - the larger burly one of the main threesome. He's the one with the deep voice and the missing tooth.
Baggy - aptly named, as his clothes are practically hanging off of him. One corner of his prison number is droopy too. He was much more a fixture of the later 1989-91 seasons.
these four Beagle Boys represent the core and most well known members of the family. The next three were slightly less distinguished and only appeared in the first season.
Bank Job - the one with the body like Launchpad, even down to the lunkjaw. He was the leader of this group.
Baby Face - little, with a beanie and frills on his shirt. Nuff said.
Bugle - I think this was his name, not Bebop. Wore the beret and sunglasses, talked in scat. Very minor character.
I think there were only two other named members of the family. There was Bomber, who appeared in the episode concerning an air show. And there was MegaByte, from the Gizmoduck origin.
Generally, the Beagle Boys would be paired off into two threesomes, at least in the first season. Big Time, Burger and Bouncer comprised one group, while Bank Job, Bugle and Baby Face comprised the other. I think the two best first season episodes featuring both groups are The Money Vanishes and Hero for Hire, both animated by TMS. The first is worth mentioning because it's one of the only times Baggy actually joins his brothers Big Time, Burger and Bouncer in an episode animated by TMS. The other episode is not only a strong Bank Job, Baby Face and Bugle show, but it also gives the audience a brief look at a family photo of all seven Beagle Boys standing with Ma.
For the record, there are also two episodes that jumble the two Beagle Boy groups around, although I can't remember the titles. The first is the episode where Gyro builds the four large construction robots that Ma Beagle steals. In this episode we have Bank Job, Baby Face and Burger, although Burger has Bouncer's voice. The other episode is the one where Magica breaks the Boys out of jail and turns them into the nephews. This one features Big Time, Burger and Baby Face.
For the record, anyone have the correct prison numbers for all 7 Beagle Boys?
I'd say Burger (voice of Frank Welker). He's somehow the most realistic of the Boys, because a dog's main instinct is to eat. My favorite Burger moment was in the ep with Gyro's duplication gadget, in which the nephews duplicated money that fast became molecularly unstable and imploded. When the Beagles' ill-gotten fortune went poof, all Burger wanted to do was get back to the prison because it was tapioca night! You have to love a guy who can shrug away the loss a few trillion samoleons like it was nothing....
No, I belive it was Chuck McCann who voiced Burger, as well as Bouncer. Frank Welker voiced Big Time & Baggy.
