Hey I need some advice

I am currently taking a thesis class in my major Computer Graphics. We need to make a 30 min oral presentation about our Thesis. My Thesis question is: "Why and how has the evolution in 3D animation affected the world of the 2D animation in Disney Movies?" and What the future holds next with Disney?"


I was wondering if anyone could put me in the right direction in where to get info on this. Like maybe the history of Disney from when its started till now.

Thats a good thesis question---

I recall in one of my animation classes, my professor mentioned that when they were working on Beauty and the Beast, they were using some computer work for coloring (if memory serves) and marked out the areas on Belle's face where blush/pink was to be colored with triangles.

The Great Mouse Detective and Oliver and Company also included portions built with computer graphics-- the gears in the clocktower (correct me if Im wrong) were done in the computer for Mouse, as well as some construction site pipes in Oliver.

You might want to touch on some points about where CG was starting to be used within 2D films.

I have googled in the past to find information about books, and gone ahead and bought them through Amazon. You may also be able to find similar books in your school's library.
