    Disney's Halloween Treat

    Like This Thread!
Does anyone miss seeing 'Disney's Halloween Treat' on ABC and Disney Channel?
I used to love watching it every halloween....

It seems to me that, no matter how hard they try, They won't have another well liked special for halloween....I dont even think 'Mickey's House Of Villians" fills the void...

I miss it because that was a tradition at my house, too - seeing the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and some other assorted shorts (like "Lonesome Ghosts") and all, it was good. Now they don't show anything but "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

Sad, really, because kids would still be watching these if they were on the air. Maybe it's the prevalence of DVD compilations and 500 TV channels that make seeing these things less special.

You guys should have done what my family did and taped it off TV when you had the chance. I just got done watching that and Nosferatu back-to-back.

well, unfort. When your under 13 you don't think about recording tv series lol, but i did record ONE series from disney back in 96' and that was 'flash forward'...
it would be nice that if i search old tapes i have something recorded i didnt remember recording but...

I know with 'halloween treat' there were two versions, one hosted by a pumpkin and the other with 'the magic mirror' from Snow White. I just remember the mirror hosting...and he fit really well with it...

Yep. We have both versions, actually, but I only watched one this year. The best part? We also taped a bunch of old CBS commercials from 1987 on one of them, too (we have the Garfield H'ween special on the same tape, and apparently we got it off CBS). *sigh* I miss those old Fruit Wheats commercials...

It's been awhile since I've seen GARFIELD'S HALLOWEEN ADVENTURES on TV. I used to see it every year paired with IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN, but haven't seen it in a few years.
