Dinosaur
Is Dinosaur really any good? Apart from the innovative animation, I have had no desire to see this movie. From all that I've heard, it's really great at first, but once the animals start talking, forget it. Just a CGI Land Before Time is the most common complaint I've heard about this one.
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
“If I had to live my life over again, I would treat women worse. The women who I treated nice always turned around and treated me bad and the women who treated me bad didn’t deserve to be treated nice anyway.”

The only thing I found annoying about the movie was the comedy relife monkey, dubbed "The Love Monkey". Other than that, I really enjoyed it, but I was just engulfed in the visuals most of the time. I'd recommend renting it first. The voices aren't that bad, actually. I was hoping they'd go with their original "silent" version, but this one ain't too bad. Makes a helluva DVD.

You know
Comedy relief animals are ALWAYS annoying in Disney movies. It is a rule.

Actually, I quite enjoyed it. It's one of the my favorite most recent Disney animated film. Too bad it did not bring in enough money for Disney...

Alas, nothing in 'Dinosaur' matches the inspired opening sequence with the runaway egg (admittedly, that part is so good you *may* find it worth the rental price.)

I thought most of "Dinosaur" was derivative from other dino-themed movies, particularly the first "Land Before Time" movie (the opening and the dinosaurs' quest for their "Great Valley"), and the whole thing looked like an extended scene from the first "Jurassic Park" movie, without the scientists and with lemurs added.

I enjoyed this movie. At first I expected to be bored by it then when i found out they were going to talk I expected to be repulsed by it. But after I actually saw it, I thought it was pretty good. Although I have to agree about that monkey guy. He was very annoying.

I thought that the movie was pretty lame actually, thinking back to it, the thing seemed to copy Tarzan and the Land before time to much. Seriously I only remember the name of one charecter (Aladar) and even I have to scratch my head to remember sometimes. But it's great for the little kiddies.
Oh and yes the animation was that good, maybe only topped by Final Fantasy TSW.

i'm a big dino fan but i never saw it becauseit came out when i only cared about music, finally saw it today, now you can say i'm biased for being such a dino fan or that i'm even harsher for having lots to compare it with, te opening left my jaw drop, i really wanted this to be a movie with out "english" but it wasn't that bad when they started talking it could have bee way worse, i did find a lot of scenes to be taken right out of Land before time, but the movie is diferent enough that you can let it go, the animation is amazing, the hwole movie i just feltit to be very doomsday-y counting its the end of the dinosaurs they're telling. though since it is disney they did make it too "cheery", and also not allowed it to have the dinosaurs be as "violent" as they are, even land before time dealed with it a little better. I liked that they used carnosaurs instead of the usual generic t rex. the ending is too happy and they definately don't use the "asteroid" the way they were supposedto and all the dinosaurs should have died by then but hey, it has a few flaws but overall its a great movie, i'd love to see a dinosaur movie like this again.

When I heard the word "jerkosaurus" being uttered in the TV ad, I knew there was no way in hell I was going to see this movie with dialogue that LAME!

It's visually spectacular, but dramatically empty, and most of the attempts at comedy fall flat ("Love Monkey" indeed!). People who like dinosaurs enough to actually to actually want to learn about them (like me), found the mixing of dinosaurs from different time periods and continents and the liberties taken with the scientific facts to be even more maddening than in Jurassic Park. The tired old "outcast becomes hero" plot has been done better in a hundred other movies. And like too many animated films these days, the creators felt compelled to make it a "message" film. While watching it, I felt like they were preaching to me an endorsement of "tolerance", multiculturalism (with the different species of dinosaurs cooperating), and even vegetarianism (Don't laugh! Did you notice that only the herbivorous dinosaurs could talk and have actually personalities? The predators were voiceless, mindless eating machines with less personality than the shark from Jaws.)
