I really, really liked this episode. All the Olympians are cool in their own way, and I like the design differences between them.

More Gargoyles on ABC Family!
Gargoyles "The New Olympians"
Avalon sends Goliath and Company to New Olympus, a hidden island society peopled by mythical creatures. There Elisa is imprisoned for being a human since the Olympians have an innate distrust of them.
This episode was one of the potential spinoffs Greg Weisman was developing when Gargoyles was cancelled.
If the episode hasn't aired on ABC Family SPOILER BOXES! If it has it's fair game.

Wasn't The New Olympians also a proposed spin-off series? It would have been another good one if it was made.
This is also one of the finer episodes of Gargoyles. What are the Olympians? Are they a species or just a group of people that banded together and relocated because of the treatment they received from humans? Do they have ties to Gargoyles?
King Beld: Conquest. Unification. It's all the same.
1. There was a New Olympians Series planned before Gargoyles. Since Gargoyles was made they would include TNO into the Gargoyle Universe.
2. There is actually a Gargoyle Clan on New Olympus according to Greg, but they live in isolation from their fellow Olympians.
3. To answer your question Oranthal, The New Olympians are a hybrid race of mortals and Oberon's Children.
Deadpool on the "genius" of Hollywood: Everything's turned into a movie these days. -- Old TV shows, board games, candy bars. And let me tell ya, I'm totally stoked for Butterfinger The Movie.
The episode reminded me of that horrible Spider-Man Unlimited series, but it was a decent episode.
Television Blows. So enjoy it.

Well, due to me not figuring out my new VCR in time... missed it.

I consider this to be one of the weakest episodes of the world tour but I finally got to see the infamous third season....suddenly this episode wasn't so bad even if the plot was a tad cliche but aesthetically this episode rocked (especially compared to the godawful season 3 "sequel" which has the ignominious distinction of being the worst episode of Gargoyles ever made, it's called "seeing isn't believing" and it's not for the weak of stomach) now if only they'd run the episodes they skipped but we're not out of the world tour yet, outside of "Ulster" and "Walkabout" there's still Japan, Easter Island, Arizona, Guatemala, and the highlight of the world tour "Future Tense"

I like this episode if only because they got Roddy McDowall to voice Proteus. Honestly, the man was just amazing when it came to voice work.
Sometimes everything that you try isn't enough to change the world. Sometimes your greatest triumphs lead directly to your downfall. But when you open your heart to someone else, and you change each other, then whatever may come, you are unlimited.
This stands as absolutely my least favorite episode. Sure, the show has it's ups and downs, but this ep takes the cake. totally "out of nowhere" story, horrid animation quality (for this show at least) and (the worst part) a totally throwaway episode. If you missed it, you did not miss a damn thing.
UGH. At least Shogun reminds me the best stuff is in the pipeline

Does anyone think that Alyssa bringing up her own ethnicity would have helped?
Spoiler:
I miss the good ol' days. Toon zone used to be really fun.
Pretty much ditto what Conekiller said, especially on the animation quality- there was one shot that was used twice during the trial, only in reverse the second time. You can see Bronx walking *backwards*...![]()
I wanted to like Taurus and Proteus seeing as I love Roddy MacDowell's and Michael Dorn's acting, but not even they could save this episode for me(I much prefer Dorn as Coldstone anyway...)
