    Like This Thread!
i found out that disney has cut part of lady and the tramp for its latest video and dvd-they removed a section of the siamese cat number which showed the cats using their claws! Talk about riddiculous censorship!

I am offended by the vulgar display of cat claws.

What!! You gotta be kidding me! "Oh no, the cats have claws...we all know we can't let the kids see that cats have claws!" Sorry, but Disney is getting just a bit paranoid. I'm worried about what their new movies are gonna look like if they have to do this to an old movie....

Another great moment in stupidity for Disney...

...what's next, editing out all the lions in "The Lion King" because they're cats with claws too? Or perhaps Oliver in "Oliver's Tail"? Or even taking out the bear in "The Fox and the Hound" because it's too scary to watch?

Disney's getting outta controlz, I tells ya!

I was about to ask... WHERE did you hear that information? Always be aware of who tells you your stuff.

Uh, well yeah it's important to know your sources, but I'm in too much of a cynical mode with all the censoring NONSENSE that nothing could push me further over the edge. That happened some time ago.

So as Co-moderator of this board I hearby ban ALL movies from EVER being made FOREVER, because I don't want to get sued seeing as how I am a spineless moron with no common sense for what's appropriate or inappropriate. And I'm afraid of those parents who thing the world of censoring entertainment should be centered around their 3 year olds.

Now THAT was sacrasm! ....and a splash of cynicism.

I'm pretty sure I remember the scenes where the cats use their claws to starcth up the curtains and cause a ruckus.

    heres exactly what it said:

In the DVD version of the movie the siamese cat song has been shortened with the removal of a stanza involving the displaying of the cat's claws.

Aha. The IMDB gets its information from reader submissions, and is very often wrong. Remember when they insisted that Linda Hamilton was in Return of the Joker? They're a great resource for past stuff, but in future projects (and, as in this case, recently finished projects) they can slip up.
