He hasn't hung up the cowl yet.
If Batman (Bruce Wayne) put up the cape, then how could he be playing Batman again in Justice League? Shouldn't Terry McGuinness play Batman in Justice League?

Also, Terry McGinnis hasn't been born yet. At best guess, that won't happen for another twenty years.
I can smell your spicy brains.
Two things:
A: This is at least 50 years before Batman Beyond, in Cartoon DC time.
B: Batman Beyond may NOT be THE future. It's only a possibility, just like "A Better World".
Y'know, I heard Swedish chicks dig fish guys. It's a well-known fact.
Beyond is set in 2039, Justice League is set in the 2000s. 30 years would be a better assumption.

Then how old is Bruce Wayne at his oldest?
In BBeyond it is believed he is in his 70s. They never actually give us the year that Batman: TAS/TNBA are set it, so its hard to tell how old he could be in BBeyond.
Absolutely.Originally Posted by Dr. Destiny

It's only a possibility, just like "A Better World".It's as much a real canon part of the DCAU as JL is as far as I can see anyway. I think the 'possible future' arguement is getting less and less substantial. Regardless - DD is bang onto rights on the first point!

In the same way that it's as possible for Justice League to be part of BTAS as it is possible it isn't.. sure. My point has always been that a person takes whatever he/she likes as being "possible". Those purist BTAS fans who don't like the progression of JL and don't want to count it as continuity - fine. Those who fine Batman Beyond too silly or dark a future.. fine. But within the context of the program I see no reason to dispute it's canonical existance - no more than any other title.Originally Posted by Dr. Destiny
People don't go round saying well, Justice League is only a possible continuation of Batman (well not often!) so I like to occasionally pipe up and remind people than unlike 2 years ago, there is a lot of evidence to show that show has roots in the DC canon - just as much as all the others. Nothing personal DD
It's just a silly mission I just can't drop.

I always thought he was closer to being 80.Originally Posted by Cyber E.

I can't tell, really. I hear he was in his 70s the most, so I assumed that was most likely.Originally Posted by Simple Simon

He's 79. I figured it out from his birth, trust me. They say Joker is in his mid 80's in ROTJ (if he was really still alive). Bruce is younger as we can tell from MOTP, in the flashback he is just out of college while Joker was a mobster already. if anything, Bruce is late 70's.
<slaps forehead> Late 70's sounds right. And besides JL Kid did the homework. I hope Toonmaster is satisifed.

My estimate was based on Terry's birthdate. If BB was 2039-2040, then Terry would have been born sometime around 2022. Hence my statement.Beyond is set in 2039, Justice League is set in the 2000s. 30 years would be a better assumption.
Now I'm getting a mental image of Terry as a baby, dressed in a Bat-suit. I think my blood sugar must be getting to low, time to eat...![]()

I agree with Dr. Destiny i think it's only a possibility but that's just my opinionBatman Beyond may NOT be THE future. It's only a possibility, just like "A Better World![]()
