STAS Villains...anyone notice?

I can't sleep. And when I can't sleep, I think. I think about life. I think about JL. I think about the connection JL has to the shows before it. Anyways, to get right to the point...

Anyone else notice that nearly *every* STAS villain has appeared on JL during the run of season 2?

I went through the list at the official site (which hasn't been updated in *how* many years now?) and all the major baddies have popped up somewhere along the way. Of those that haven't...

Bizzaro: Darklantern mention that Bizzaro's world was one of the screens in Brainiac's base, so maybe thats a reference right there (to his untimely demise, even)

Jax-Ur/Mala: Last I remember, they were sucked into some kind of void in Absolute Power...i forget the details, but i think they're considered dead?

Bruno Manheim: If the nuclear blast didn't kill him...oh wait, it did.

Kanto: He didnt appear past his one episode on STAS.

Granny and the Furies: Okay, these four are officially MIA. Still, with all that happened in Twilight, it would've been hard to cram them in.

So, am I on to something here, or am I just delirious from lack of sleep? Will all the BTAS rogues show up in season 3?

But they have had some B:TAS villains already. Perhaps we'll see a wider variety of villains next season instead?

IE, mix of Bats, Supers, and the others' villains?

....here's my question, though, do you think they'll do any follow up with Parasite? He sucked WW, Supers and Flash all three...

that means he should have their memories, know who they are. Right? (Well, I mean, he already knows about Supers, but). Sure, Rudy's not the brightest candle in the room but he ought to follow up on that~

Parasite can only temporarilly get his victims energy/memories. And he doesn't always know everything...it's like Spock in "Star Trek III: The Search For Spock," it took him a while to adapt his mind to the thoughts he had got back in his mind. It's not something that's on his mind all the time, so it would only surface on occasion.

Parasite can't keep what he takes. Eventually the powers AND the memories fade away. I bet Rudy wishes he had Prof. Ivo on his healthplan.

While it was nice to see some familiar faces return (Volcana, Weather Wizard, Toyman, Parasite, Livewire, Metallo, Sinestro, Joker, Harley, Clayface, Firefly, Ivy, Two-Face, Scarface, etc...) I still contend that we see more new faces, villains from Flash's world, Diana's world, GL's world, and hopefully J'onn and Hawkgirl have some enemies to contribute to the show. JL is about expanding the DCAU.

I'd prefer seeing STAS/BTAS/TNBA villains more than other villains though--unless they touch them up a bit. Cause...some of Flash's villains are just, I don't know...silly looking?

Who wants to see Farmer Brown again? Farmer Brown for JL Season 3! More massive bugs! More puns! More...Amy Lou.

I mentioned this in another posting somewhere, but you're absolutely right. Most of the STAS villains appeared and battled the league in Season 2. Not too many Batman villains; only Joker, Firefly, and Clayface (I do NOT count Scarface, Twoface, ect. because they didn't do anything. They were just cameos.)
I hope Season 3 shies away from that and goes into some new villains like Malefic, Black Manta, and Reverse Flash, for starters. I would like to see Ra's As Ghul, though. I think he'd make a great JL villain. If they have another Injustice League/Secret Society, I'd like to see the Scarecrow.

i'd love to see jax-ur and mala again. surprised that they never teamed with brainiac in stas, seems like a good fit. there's gotta be some way they could work together, ah well. I'd love to see bizarro and krypto again. hey, they all have ties to supes, makes me wanna write a fanfic.

"in a scheme to destroy all things superman, braniac joins forces with jax-ur, mala, and bizarro to destroy the man of steel. in an exciting plot twist, brainiac secretly plans to destroy these new team mates as well as superman, extracting their dna, becoming a greater life form, and erradicating these last remaining ties to krypton. brainiac can then be the last supreme kryptonian. can the rest of the league stop brainiac's scheme?!?"

maybe i'll write that as a fan fic. anyway, i think that would be a viable reason for a knock down drag out kryptonian brawl in a jl ep. certainly a worthy threat against the earth, and hammer time endgame supes vs. brainiac battle.

off topic note: The official warner site for Superman is actually pretty good for an official site. Nice bios, no gross errors, images, better than any of CN's official sites ecept maybe for Clone Warns.

Yes it does seem like a lot of Superman villians appeared. Of course one could make the case the Weather Wizard was a Superman villian but he did appear on Superman's show so that's a moot point. The only major ones that have yet to appear are Jax-Ur and Mala and I really hope they do show up. It would be even better if they showed up with General Zodd! I mean, that would be a massive threat against the JL. Throw in Brainiac and you might have a season finale.

I was under the impression that Parasite lost the memories he had absorbed only after some kind of severe physical trauma.

For example, in the Parasite's first appearance in "Feeding Time," he was temporarily brain-fried when he absorbed the properties of Kryptonite after having taken Superman's powers. And before that, when his stolen powers began to fade, he still knew where Clark Kent lived and that he was really Superman.

In his third appearance in "Double Dose" when he regained Superman's memories, it was implied that he lost all of his wits after he was electrocuted.

Those instances seemed to imply that Parasite would have otherwise remembered the information he aquired. (Of course the subject never came up during "Two's a Crowd," his second appearance)

So not only would he know the secret identity of the Flash, but he would have once again remembered the true ID of Superman.

ALSO-- I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that Mxyzptlk hasn't shown up on JL yet (other than as a practice range target). He could really cause trouble for the group, like sending them all to the magical Land of Oz, or making movie characters come to life while Batman, Robin and the Wonder Twins are all at the drive-in... oh, wait...
