Is JL in the same universe as "Teen Titans"?

    Like This Thread!
I mean, you'd think we would have seen the titans show up in Hereafter if they were in the same universe,,any chance of a crossover?

We've pretty much discussed this topic everywhere on this board, but, no. I honestly don't believe they're connected at all, and I don't want them to be. Teen Titans works cause it's not tied down to continuity...it's just a carefree show. JL isn't...and, as a person opinion, I don't want to ever see those two shows crossover into one another.

As a non-opinionated opinion: The chances of a crossover are extremely slim.

Um to end this arguement their is no real right or wrong answer to the question of whether or not it is in continuity with Justice League, basically the writers themselves said they didn't really think about the matter. So given that you can't just up and say no it osn't or yes it becuase until the writers themselves say for sure the matter is up in the air. At some point in the future they could decide it is in continuity but mabey they won't so until then one answer is as valid as the next, for ifo on what the producer of the show said on the matter of continuity follow this link.

I dunno...If the League can show up on Static Shock, I don't see how it would be too far off base for them to show up on Titans either. Or vice-versa, given that Season 3 will include some fresh blood.

As a personal opinion, I don't *believe* that the should is in the same universe. If it happens to be, by some slim chance, then the idea of a crossover is just... odd. Because the styles in art and storytelling is so different from one other. Admittedly, it'd be really interesting artistically to see the JL in such a different style, but I just don't think it'd work. It'd be... really weird, frankly. The styles just clash too much for a crossover.

I believe that the two series exist in the same universe, but I hope there is no crossover episode. At the most, maybe they could show Batman and Robin talking on Justice League and him make some mention of a Titans meeting.

It seems to me that there already is a definitive continuity tie-in. Batman mentions the Titans in the Static Shock episode "Hard as Nails." Later, Static meets the Justice Laegue, hence continuity established.

As for a team-up or cross-over: sure, why not? Yes, the shows have a different flavor and have a very different style from one another, but it could be done. Just look at the two-part "Apprentice" episode of TT. It really zeroed-in on the action more than the comedy, and was quite intense in most parts, a change of pace that would lend itself well to a JL cross-over.

I would also point to the portrayal of Slade in the show. No exaggerated body-movement or anime style expressions for him, no sir. The characters from JL should be handled the same way, if they were to ever appear.

orginially, statics teamup with the justice league was supposed to be a teamup with the Teen Titans, but the writers were afraid that the teamup would happen before the titans had a chance to premeire, so they changed it to the justice league. I guess you could infer that they COUld Be connected.

if the shows ever do cross over, then they need to imply that Superboy, Wondergirl, and Impulse exist within the universe. I could see those 3 teaming up with the Titans in a JL episode in which they have to stop a threat when the leauge is away.

I'm not sure if you were addressing my previous post, but just in case...

I am referring to Batman's line in the Static Shock episode "Hard as Nails", when he responds to Static's question about the whereabouts of Robin.

    STATIC: So, where's Robin?

    BATMAN: With the Titans.

    I see

I can see it because if they were planning a Static/TT crossover but it never happened so they prolly will be planning it again. Now just because i think they are i still do not want them to crossover. I would like subtle references but not a crossover. If there is i would love to see Dong Woo animate it cause they do great on TT and JL.

All i know is if they show up on Static then its in continuity but do we really need a JL/TT team up? I think the answer is no. It would be cool but both shows are doing really well w/o help so i don't see a Crossover ever.

The way I see it is that they're in the same univers bt take place during different times. You see I have this wild theory that Robin is actually Dick and the show takes place a few years after Bruce found him in "Robin's Reckoning". This would probably explain alot of things like why Robin still has alot of anger issues and why he is wearing the Red/Green costume and not the Red/Black costume that Tim is known to wear.

I disagree and here's why. DC didn't want them to bring the old Aquaman in the show because thats not who they have in the comics so since Tim is Robin in the comics i don't see them letting him be Dick in the cartoon.

If we are going by that logic then shouldn't the JL feature an almost entirely different cast and shouldn't most of the guest stars that have appeared on the series never should have shown up???

Besides, they are homaging the 80s' Titans so of course Dick is going to be Robin.

How do you figure? All the characters are still around in the comics.

Costumes don't mean a thing. The Robin in the titans is indeed Drake. If you notice, he is still short. A little taller than in the new series but not tall enough to be Dick. In the secon Batman series, It was hypothosized that Robin was at least 13. This could be an older Robin. Plus the Static reference proves that its the same robin.

    i am saying

I am proving the point logically. Kids who read comics now don't know Dick Grayson. They know Tim Drake is Robin. Why would they confuse them just to make old fans happy. The fact is DC already has everyone on this board as fans. So if someone watches the show and sees its Dick and then goes to read comics and sees its Tim it will not make any sense.
