    Your Ideal Eppisode of JL?

    Like This Thread!
Okay, this is a thread about your ideal episoede of Justice League. I was thinking, what would it be like if you could write/direct an episoede? I thought, what if Doomsday, Imperix, Megadonn, Starro, basically just big enemies met the league? Whould Timm let Supes die and then be rebourn with a new costume? What do you think?

I don't know about the others, but I would love to see Starro. That's the League's oldest enemy, and I think his design holds up surprisingly well.

That being said, a Starro appearance might be problematic. If we consider Batman Beyond canon, we know that Starro won't appear until brainwashing Superman, an event that we can assume takes place a good deal into the future. Additionally, a Starro story might be redunant after the Invaders, which were cut in pretty much the same mold.

Out of the four guys u mentioned here, i guess i would like to see Starro the most. But the Batman Beyond continuity problems then comes into play. And like the man said, i doubt a Starro ep would be drastically different enough from "Secret Origins" or "The Call" to make it worth it.

I had an idea for Doomsday, but it worked around actually acknowledging Superman had gotten weak, instead of just ignoring everything he did in season one and have him start throwing around Braniacs and Darkseid again at a moments notice.

As for Mageddon and Imperiex, i hated both "World War III" and "Our Worlds at War", so basically those characters just have no appeal for me. If done right, i suppose Timm and his people could make them interesting, but really, whats the point? I did have an idea for a Mageddon-type character in an episode where New Genesis, Apokalips and the JL would have to ally together to fight off this greater threat, but it was basically done in "Twlight" with Braniac instead.

Honestly, my idea of an ideal episode of Justice League would not be introducing bigger, badder bad guys for bigger, badder battles that would still get beat in the same 2 episodes as Aresia. My idea of an ideal episode would be one that gives one or more characters in the show some serious character development, works off established continuity for the show (and by continuity, i dont mean from the comics or referencing some minutia from a Batman:TAS episode from 1993, but just working off previous JL episodes) and also gives something to the show over-all so that every episode doesnt feel like filler for something greater that never comes. This would just give the tone of the show a much more epic feel then the "every episode occurs in its own vacuum" philosophy thats happening now

1)A story that ties every known loop hole together for good. Hopefully the Season 2 episode Hereafter will do some of that. Character tension.
2)Apokolips vs New Genesis. Character development for Barda, Mr. Miracle as well as tension within the JL towards joining the war.Superman-yes, Batman-hell no. Would GL want to go bec of his military background? etc.
3)An Elseworlds tale in which the JL witnesses an alternate future like Kingdom Come or a story of that effect.
4)A major Green Lantern Corp conflict like Parallax forcing history on Hal Jordan and such to be revealed. Focus would be on John, Kyle and Katma mainly. Superman, Hawkgirl and J'onn would be there but I wouldn't soften them up as bait. That's wrong. They'd be like on Ua or something learning history on Oa and the GLC while John and company race ahead to fight on their own.

    ~spoilers?~

An alternate universe-type episode, with Crime Syndicate-eque JL doppelgangers hijacking the real JL and taking over their place in the real universe, would be great!

Throw in some "Crisis on Inifinte Earths" references, a visit to the Arkaham Asylum, a fight between Doomsday and Superman, and a final showdown between both the JLs, that somehow ends up with Lex Luthor reforming into politics, and you got yourself the Justice League fanboy's wetdream!

I like what Extra said, but that's like, enough for a ton of episoedes. (Or you could make it a four-parter... ) Anyway, I myself would want to see an episoede of Lex Luther becoming president, ooh! IDEA! What if Luthor had to go against Superman head-to-head but with the entire Justice League brainwashed on Luthor's side?!!! Nah, too hard. Okay, i'll leave it to you guys, what other ideas do you have??

lex luthor was president of the U.S in the comic superman our worlds at war, my favorite enemy is darkseid, but i dont know if he lacks the strengh to do the mision he has set himself, ive seen other enemies that look way stronger, but anyway ill still say that the best episode would be with darkseid defeating all the enemies of the JL and the justice league together.

WHOA! You mean like, where, the Justice League and all their enemies had to join forces to fight Darksied? COOOOOOOOOL!!!! What else can you guys think of? THIS IS GREAT!

Imperix is in the lead on my poll. An Imperix story? Oooh, that would be cool. But i doubt Timm will want another war story. Well, who knows?

I agree, but i always pictured BATMAN BEYOND as an alternate reality.

Hmmm, I don't know about that. Why would criminals care about what happens to the world around them? That scenario sounds way too... Superfriends to me. So I don't like the idea.

Also, if the villians of the JL members were interested in stopping Darkseid (or any other alien invasion), they've already missed multiple opportunities... S:TAS "Apokolips... Now!", S:TAS "Legacy", JL "Secret Origins"... if they didn't care then, why would they care now?

I would write an episode w/ less filler action and more focus on plot development.

Hmm, Squall, you've kind of got a point. But i still wanna' say that villains WOULD care because as much as they hate the JL, they LOOOOVE themselves. So i think they would realize that if the world was destroyed then so would they.

And the Justice League are mainly focused on protecting earth from aliens, right? Right! So they WOULD DEFINETLY CARE
