    Please post about B:GA!!!

    Like This Thread!
I have been following The Batman Adventures comic series since issue number two (featuring Catwoman) and has since always been a loyal fan and costumer of anything having to do with the Animated Batman world. As such, I would really like to see more posts about the Batman: Gotham Adventures series. I was just reading about the creative team (via the World's Finest Comic previews site) set to work on issue #40 of B:GA, and I've never heard of them. What can anyone tell me about Butch Guice, who has illustrated the issue? I know who Chuck Dixon is, but I have never heard of Guice. Also, I noticed something strange about the cover. When I first saw it (perhaps via the news page) a week or so ago, It showed Batman frozen in a block of ice, and Mr. Freeze, in his spider-head, looming above. But now on the comic preview page, only the frozen Batman is shown! Strange...
Also, has anybody heard any news about Dini and Timm's "Harley and Ivy" miniseries? I saw in the book "Batman: Animated" what I think were some original sketches for a story done by Timm and Dini, called "Hooray for Harleywood". Do those sketches have anything to do with the "H+I" miniseries? Are are they something else? The book says they were from a "limited edition" series published in (I think) 1998!?!?! I never heard of it anywhere! And as for the "H+I" miniseries, I first heard about that while reading the lettercollom in an old issue of the original TBA! So why has it taken them so long to release it? If anyone knows anything about the B:GA series, or upcoming miniseries such as "H+I", please post! I really enjoy this board, but I am dying to know what you all think about B:GA and what you know that I don't! So fill me in Much obliged!

That whole 'Chuck Dixon & Butch Guice' thing was a typo, and I fixed it. The regular creative team will be doing that issue, thankfully. The design that Tim Levins did was great! His Freeze design (which I'll repost if you want) is great. No, if he'd fix Batman's jawline, we'd have the perfect artist...

The Harley and Ivy series has not yet been released, and, the last I had heard, it was still being worked on at a snail's pace.

"With my feet upon the ground, I lose myself between the sounds
And open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random, or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
    Spiral out. Keep going"

Production on this mini-series began in 1993, actually. In 1997 when TNBA was aired, they had to redo alot of the artwork to fit the current art style. That's one of the many reasons for the delay.

The other big reason is Timm's choice for the inker. Shane Glines doesn't work on any deadline, so inking the book encroaches on his free time. And he spends a lot of time on the net...
