*squeal* "Twilight" is airing in July. I'm so glad we don't have to wait until October for it. Season two sounds like it's gonna be great. Also, yay to the Harley & Ivy mini-series finally coming out. *squeals some more* Thanks for the link, susan!

One of the most interesting things that happened last season was, there was a little throwaway bit that we did in the end of the Gorilla Grodd episode. Batman thought that Wonder Woman was buried under this rubble and he was frantically digging her out. She got out, looked down and saw his hands were all burned from digging her out of the rubble. And she kind of gave him this little peck on the check. It wasn't scripted. In the storyboard stage we said this would just be a nice little bit.
Well, the fans on the internet went CRAZY. They said, wow, what's going on between Batman and Wonder Woman? And we're thinking there's nothing going on between Batman and Wonder Woman.
The coolest pice in this interview was, IMO:
Yay!There's a Harley and Ivy mini-series which I started back in 1996, which has been sitting around, half-completed for all these years. I finally finished inking that this year so that's going to be scheduled for late this year.![]()
Cool! Did you all see that picture from the interview?? I guess that would be our first look at Despero and Dr Destiny. Who is that gold guy though? Amazo?
Yay! Now Milligan and Morrison are certainly good people to be influenced by especially since the latter had such a long JLA run! lol (confusing as it occasionally was!)..At the same time, one of the interesting things about the second season is that after the first season was done and we started developing the second season, in between I really started reading a lot more current comics. I fell heavily under the sway of these British guys who were writing comics: Pete Milligan, Warren Ellis and Grant Morrison.
I'd suggest to Timm and anyone else to locate a copy of Milligan's early work, 'Bad Company' which they were looking at putting on the big screen. The guy is great with group character dynamics!
Great article. I like it when creators can be honest and say what they didn't think worked/what they would like to have done with their work.

I'm afraid of getting your hopes up, but.
If SVES is going to air a premiere of Justice League, they'll air more than one. So if Twilight Pt 1 and 2 is going to air in July, you can count on at least one other two-part story to air.
And do you guys like Superman's new design? Or perhaps I should say, OLD design.. hehe.
Actually, I realize that it's possible CN will air Twilight on Friday night as some sort of "special". In which case, a second episode wouldn't be airing.
But I'm thinking it's more likely to air on SVES.
That Bruce Timm sure knows how to hype up fans.

And I can't believe that 'Horay for Harleywood!'&Ivy thing's finally hapening. The pencils of the 1st 2 pages, as seen in Batman:Animated (the book) were hillarious! That injoke with a suspiciously Mark Hamilesque guy as the joker and Harley complaining that he "didn't even have puddin's nose" was great.

Man, just when I had finally recovered from the last round of JL season two hyping and gotten myself to calm down, Timm goes and says all this stuff. It's a good thing Twilight will air in July...if I had read this interview and it was still airing in October, I think I might go insane.
Great interview. I'm glad that Bruce Timm is willing to listen to fans and even criticism from freinds (Alex Ross riot act had to be tough to endure) while at the same time not just kissing everyones ass.
I agree with him about Supermans power level. Really at the end of the day that was the main thing seperating him from his STAS counterpart. He never got back up. I look foward to seeing the return of Superman in Justice League.
Even in the dark days of the War World ending I still held on to belief that Timm and co. could do this idea er...justice.
With the vibe I'm getting from the second season I think he will. Bruce Timm and his team created versions of Superman and Batman that not only quantified everything I liked about the characters and superheroes but also minus alot of the BS.
These series are fun and not pretentious as well a being dramatic, action packed and true to character. I honestly feel that these series gave me back my heroes and made them better than ever. In a way that I will forever wish the comicbooks would.
Both Batman series
Superman
Batman Beyond
I'm keeping my faith. Bruce Timm and co have never let me down before. Bring on more Justice League! I think it'll be worth the wait.
Holy crap! When I first caught a look at the small version I thought it was a Cartoon Network ad...like, the Justice League versus Skeletor or something (Dr. Destiny has his Silver Age look). But, upon closer inspection, I jumped out of my chair. I see Morgiane Le Fay, Dr. Destiny, Despero, Kalibak, and...could that be the new Amazo?Originally Posted by Jim Harvey

Oh...my...God! This is so awesome...July is just not that far away at all! I can't wait! I'll definitly be there! This is just so exciting...I think that this is the best interview with Timm I've ever seen...probably because I'm so freakin' excited about the stuff he's saying!!! GOD THIS ROCKS!

Me too! I was wondering why Skeletor was fighting the Justice League, it was weird. And for a second I thought that yellow guy was Dr. Zoom. O_o;Originally Posted by Karkull

Apparently the (infamous?) Burger King commercial was just as accurate as I had hoped. Still wish they would have changed his underwear back to black though.Originally Posted by Matt Wilson:

Yeah, SVES has this tendency lately of sneaking in new episodes.Originally posted by Matt Wilson:

And as far as that picture of the second season, hey, I didn't know Skeletor was guess-starring on JL! (Just kidding......EEP!) *ducks behind the couch to avoid flying debris*
Man, I'm glad that Mr.Timm takes time off to actually acknowledge fan's feedbacks. See? I told you this show would get better
Great Interview! Great Pic! Yeah, I too thought it was some He-man/JL promo, and the yellow does indeed look a bit like Professor Zoom.
Well, I'm kinda saddened that we won't be getting many guest stars cause it dashes my hopes of getting Green Arrow and Black canary established in continuity. But I'm also really glad cause the current cast really need to more spotlight to shine! Wasn't the New Gods supposed to appear in "Twilight"? hence Timm's slight BB referance. Guess the rumour was wrongWell, there aren't too many superhero guest stars in second season. We figured since we already have seven main characters any way, there are plenty of dramatic opportunities there to really let them shine. The only guest appearances in the second season are Dr Fate and Aquaman. Aquaman was one of the best shows in the first season so we thought we should bring him back.
And, Yeah! I agree about Aquaman! The reason why I watch "Enemy Below" over and over is just because I love his design and how he's potrayed. After you see him, you cannot call him "The weak dude who talks to fish" anymore.
Ok, I have a feeling this is going to be my most anticipated episode. There's an episode where we had the Justice League vs. the Secret Society, which is the new, revamped Injustice Gang, and it was really important for that story to have all seven of them in it. As we're developing storylines we'll look at it.
Oooh Boy, All the Wondy/Bats junkies are going to have a feild day with this! But this is the kind of handling I like, just HINTING nothing more, nothing less. I do agree with Timm about having Diana team up with Batman rather than J'onn in the "Twilight" episode, Those two are such an unlikley duo and have better interaction.TIMM : They said, wow, what's going on between Batman and Wonder Woman? And we're thinking there's nothing going on between Batman and Wonder Woman.
THE PULSE: Aw come on, wouldn't it be fun if it were?
TIMM: That's what happened. We looked at it and said, well...you know... maybe there could be something going on between Batman and Wonder Woman. So we're going to toy with it a little bit. We don't go really deep into it, but there's definitely something kind of happening. It's just an interesting little extra spice to the mix.
Yeah, I think this would work. Just hope he doesn't get knocked down by a lazer or a peice of debris or something.TIMM: We just really made sure that anytime he got knocked down that he got back up and whoever it was that knocked him down, Superman was eventually going to clean his clock, and not have somebody else come in and clean his clock for him. We made sure we kept him at full strength - believable full strength,, but made sure that it left room for the other Justice League guys to have something to do. It made our jobs harder, but ultimately it works better.
LOL! I guess we now know exactly why they chose Wally West over Barry Allen. Serously though, as a big Galactus fan I don't think anybody can take him down except for Silver Surfer.THE PULSE: Are any other characters that are easier or harder to work with?
TIMM: They're all hard! The Flash, I wish we could kill him off. He's so fast if he was just a little bit smarter, he wouldn't need a Justice League. Anytime anyone fired a gun at him, he could run across town to the police station, pick up a Kevlar vest, come back and let the bullet bounce off his chest. He's that fast. He could take down Galactus if he wanted to.
If The Flash really is that fast I wish he would look that fast. I mean, after seeing X-men : Evolution, Quicksilver looks a tad bit faster.
::Scratches head:: I don't get it. Isn't that his usually JL design?Originally Posted by Matt Wilson
Thanks to Bruce Timm for hyping up Justice League even more and getting me even more excited. Looks like season 2 is going to be great.Nice to hear we will be getting at least 1 story arc of JL in July and have it be the big Darkseid episode. Best news I heard all week.
Actually, I just realized. Matt is right, the wrinkles and lines on Superman's face are gone...so it looks like "Toys in the Hood" won't be the only one sporting the S:TAS design.
