Now this episode I liked! Terry got played for a fool, Bigtime um died?, and Bruce intentionally rammed someone with his car. Classic. Only really lame part was Barbara smacked the major with her purse and that shot of her face afterwards..ugh yucky what were they thinking? Trying to make her look cool? It didn't work!

I really liked what I saw of this episode. I was too distracted to actually give it a fair rating, but it sure captured more of my attention than most of the other BB eps that have run recently on Toonami. I actually wish I caught the "Big-Time" episode now.

I like how they showed that Big-Time is more than a deformed bag of muscles. He really did play Terry well. The only thing I would have done differently was add some indication at the end that Big-Time really DID want to go back to normal and really DID still care for Terry. The character suddenly became flat when he stated that he would kill Terry and didn't mind his new appearance.

But it still fleshed out Batman's character and that was enough. I've come to realize that this series deserves a lot more credit than it's gotten.

I just don't like Big Time as a character. I think he is kind of boring. But I do like how Terry has to go against a friend. I like the conflict between his Batman persona and Terry McGinnis. The episode was lacking something. I really don't know what it is. It is not one of my favorites. But it was cool when Bruce threw Terry the backpack with the Batman suit in it. It was also great to see Bruce hit Big Time with the car...lol

I liked this one. It's good to see Terry thinking on his feet; his escape was very well done.

I've heard people complain that Terry sounds too much like a boy scout when he's arguing with Charlie. I disagree. I've heard enough people who have gotten out of bad situations and are trying not to get sucked back in, and that's exactly how Terry sounded to me. Also, he was trying to help someone he thought was a friend out of that situation.

BTW, that wasn't a purse Barbara hit Major with, it was her gun.

And I don't think Big Time died, either. I think he would have shown up again if there had been another season.

I was kinda disappointed by this one after the reasonably entertaining "Big Time" introduction episode.

Yes there's some good material here - Terry's guilt/conflict and refusal to admit it - but it's mostly mashed between some rather drawn out fights and some odd pacing and plotting. There's no build up of tension during the bridge fight, it's just them pummeling each other until Big Time falls off. Cut to rather abrupt ending. Bruce ramming Big Time was a definite highlight though.

The Big Time character for me works better when hes human Charlie Bigalow, and not the monster version voiced by Clancy Brown. The monster doesn't capture my interest as much.

On a completely different note, I rather enjoyed the 'fish' dialogue between the two armored truck guards at the beginning. It went from a rather stock dialogue line to something much smarter, so props for that.

There were some very creepy undertones near the end and at the end of the episode that seemed to imply that the same fate befell Two-Face. At least, that's the impression I got. From Bruces' stance and dialogue, it seemed that watching Terry duel Big Time was like he was reliving a painful memory... Did anyone else get this vibe?
