TMNT of course. Man, I grew up on that stuff, and the new gritty look is awesome.

Static Shock. I have to say that I'm not too excited about TMNT. Besides... I got satellite, so I'll get to watch both of them anyway...

Both. Seeing as how all of my WB stuff gets taped at my gf's (I don't have WB ) I will be able to tape off the new TMNT episodes at my house and enjoy them both.

EDIT: I went ahead and added a third option to the poll for all of us that voted both.

This isn't even a contest, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the one, the only, the best, DA FLIPPIN' BOMB!! I would brutally hurt myself if I choose otherwise.

    10:30 am? On a Saturday?

I'll be watching the inside of my eyelids, since I'll still be asleep.

I'm not a fan of Static, so in the off chance I was actually up at that time, I'd watch TMNT.

According to the Fox Box Schedule posted by Colin in the News board, TMNT's first episode airs at 10:30 AM this Saturday (2/8), and then re-airs at 8:30 AM next Saturday (2/15), followed by another new episode at 10:30 AM. If this is common practice at the Fox Box, then you Static fans won't have to worry about watching the two things at once. You'll just have to worry about waking up two hours earlier for those next-week reruns. Or you could just forget that and tape one while watching the other.

Fortunately, I don't have this problem, because I don't watch Static.

I don't get WB, so that makes my decision easy: TMNT. Plus, I have a loyalty to the green guys. I've already got almost all the new toys - I don't think I'd ever buy a Static figure.

Static is a fascinating and innovative concept... I really like the idea of the hero and the direction in which he's heading, and I think that he's a great role model (especially for younger children). Despite criticisms that Static isn't "dark" or "realistic" enough, I feel that Static is much more down-to-earth and realistic than many other cartoons that currently exist. It raises many issues that deserve contemplation, and offers insight to the regular stresses of adolescense as well as all of the other cool fantasy elements like the electricity stuff.

Having said that, I'm still going to have to go with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, at least at first. I watched a lot of the show as a child, and I enjoyed it greatly. Static is really cool, but I am attracted to the humorous charm of the Turtles, and hopefully this new series will live up to the appeal of the original movie, cartoon, and comic. Only time will tell... I'll certainly be trying my best to catch both, but TMNT gets my attention mainly because of the personal connection that I have with it.
