    The Batcast

PENGUIN: Danny Devito. I mean, he's already short, bald and heavyset, and he knows the role. My second choice would be singer Paul Willliams, who voiced Pengie on the animated series. He's a short fellow, but he'd have to wear a lot of padding. Dom Deluise would be my third pick; although his voice is a bit whiny, he has the size and girth.

BATGIRL: Winona Ryder. She'd give you a lot more edge than Silverstone. Hey, if Beetlejuice can put on a cowl, so can Lydia, right?

BRUCE WAYNE: Lance Henrikksen (Millennium). Some have suggested Christopher Walken, but if you want another skinny, creepy-looking, bland-voiced actor with an impressively-lined mug for an older Batman...that 's him. For a younger Batman, though, I'm not sure.

ALFRED. Kelsey Grammer. Just making sure you're still paying attention. Bueno....

NIGHTWING: Some tortured, angst-filled young actor from Roswell or Dawson's Creek. Also, someone check to see what Mark-Paul Gosslear's doing these days.

    Batman? Who's that?

NMaxfranklin: Hmm Bruce Campbell... Interesting choice - I'd have thought he'd have made a better Joker (he has THE chin )
I like the Mr Freeze/Christopher Lloyd casting as well!

Good Dr B: Lance Henriksen - I like that.... he is a little short though - even for an old Bruce. Maybe if he stays sitting down!

How about Adam West as Gordon? I can suggest this safe in the knowledge he'd never take the role - he refuses to play anyone else other than Bruce. Foolish career move Adam old chum!

Mark Hamill as the Joker - his voice fits, i'd be interested to see his visual take on the Joker though....

BatGirl? Do we have to? Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls.

Two-Face - with all the fun we can have with CGI, we could get 2 actors to plays the part - you could even stretch to one half Billy Dee Williams, one half Tommy Lee Jones! Or alternatively get someone a little more original - er - Bruce Campbell again?

    casting

Sorry but, some of you people are out of it! The film should be cast this way:
Batman; Michael Keaton(A great actor and the only guy so far to be believable in the role. He was also the only actor to play Bruce Wayne and Batman as seperate characters.)
Alec Baldwin would be a great second choice

    Nightwing; Tom Cruise

    Robin; Leanardo Dicaprio

    Gordon; John Mahoney (Frasier)

Bullock; Denis franz or John Goodman

Joker; Mark Hamil ( This guy is so much more than Luke
Skywalker, and he has the voice)

    Harley Quinn; ?

    Scarecrow; Antony Hopkins(He is frightening)

    Two Face; Ray Liotta

Penguin; Devito was great or joe Pesci

What do ya think? Let me know. Thanks.

Let's go through this, ahem , 'perfect cast'!

Hmm, a mixed bag. I loved Keaton in his time but he is getting on. I have made the suggestion on a seperate thread for him as BB Batman.

Nightwing; Tom Cruise - Yuk. No thanks. I hate that pompous actor. He's occasionally does some good acting (rain man) but I hate his 'action' characters. I don't find him very believable. Plus, he is a meddler with any project he get's involved in (MI1 and MI2 suffered heavy delays as he ripped the show's roots apart!)

Robin; Leanardo Dicaprio - Not BRAT boy - purlease!

Gordon; John Mahoney (Frasier) - That's quite an interesting choice. He might be quite good.....

Bullock; Denis franz - Denis Franz - You've hit the nail on the head there!!!!

Penguin; Devito was great or joe Pesci - I hated Devito's penguin, but I think that was more in character concept than his acting. I'd like to see him play a penguin with class rather than as a freak!

I nominate Ben Affleck for Batman; he's going to be 29 this year and he's 6'2" and most importantly, he can act with a range great enough to play both Bruce Wayne and Batman. He can play intense (Chasing Amy) and he can play a flake (Armageddon). What more could anyone ask?

Ben Affleck is a must for Batman: Year One but he's probably too much of a heavyweight now - Aranofsky will go for an unknown most likely (and - please god - stay well away from Freddie Prinze Jnr )

I think Clint Eastwood might make a good older Bruce ... not an original choice I know

Jack Nicholson gives the best visual performance of the Joker.

    Steven Segal as Nightwing?

Josh Hartnett would fit nicely as Terry ... or even Will Friedle

i really like the idea of Lance Hendrikson as an old batman. I think this would be good for either a batman beyond or dark knight returns movie.

jackal, while anthony hopkins can be very frightening, the best choice to play the scarecrow in my opinion, would be christopher walken. i don't think anyone else could come close.

whoever said that sarah michelle gellar should play batgirl is right on the money! she has the fighting skills and the ability to act. she would be perfect for that role.

as for harley quinn, i'm sure that most any actress could play the ditzy blonde girl who's infatuated with a psycho. maybe kate hudson? just a thought.
