Well, here's another edition of the bi-weekly Fresh Question for your enjoyment! Remember, if you have any suggestions, then email me or any of the moderators! Here's the question:

If you could bring only 5 (or 10) Batman Beyond episodes to VHS/DVD, which ones would they be and why?

Is this for Batman Beyond exclusively? The answer are the Blight Episodes from Season One, because those had a reocurring them thur them. I don't know if they would equal five or not. The truth is tho that I would not buy such a release (tho I did buy Batman Beyond the "Movie") as I would wait paitently (and hopefully not with out good cause) that Batman Beyond will be released in a complete set on DVD.

If it is for a short lived series, either MTV's Downtown or WB's Mission Hill. Both were great shows that died too early.

That is tough. It's like saying your family is trapped in a fire, but you can only save 10 out of your 52 children. I guess I'll answer this since I know how much you all care what I think.

    BIGTIME
    SPLICERS
    DISAPPEARING INQUE
    KING'S RANSOM
    APRIL MOON
    SNEAK PEEK
    ACE IN THE HOLE
    INQUELING
    HOOKED UP
    ASSENTION

I excluded the episodes on the current DVD as well as BLACK OUT, BLOODSPORT, and A TOUCH OF CURARE (b/c they are always on tv)

    my opinion

well, in my humble opinion, i would put on the whole first season.....except the winning edge and heroes. that however, brings me down to eleven. i don't suppose we could have eleven, could we?

    1. Eyewitness
    2. Mind Games (the sound effects and erie score during all three fight sequences would sound great on DVD)
    3. Out of the Past
    4. The Eggbaby (weak ep. but some of best animation the series has seen)
    5. The Call (the fire bombing sequence is, well, the bomb)

    Suggestion

I'd like to see a complatipn of the multi-part BATMAN BEYOND episodes. They may not be great, but it'd be a good disc.

First thing's first: All of the villain's origin episodes (well, just the good ones, Shriek, Inque, Spellbinder) because I've only seen Spellbinder ONCE! You hear me? Once!! Can you believe that?! And it's not the only episode that's happened with.

    Ascension
    Out of the Past
    Dead Man's Hand
A Touch of Curare (all Curare episodes please)
    Once Burned
Bloodsport (super cop out of Marvel's Kraven The Hunter, but I still like the episode)

I believe I went over by 3 episodes or so. So I'd easily lop off the right amount, depending on what they are specifically.

uh oh....gotta get Plague in there too. The only problem with that one IMHO is how in the heck did Stalker survive.

I don't think we got a good inque origin episode. I was expecting a lot more of an origin story, like the whole episode devoted to her origin with a lot of flashbacks, probably could have made whole 2 parter.

    Only Once?

You don't have the episode on video? WB released that episode on video. It's barely rerunned on WB, I'll say though.
