JL: fave super hero
well i got bored, im upset that shows like MIB & H! are going.........**sniffle** ...WB bastards!... Well on a different note what is every1's favorite Justice League hero? Mine would be Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern.
From the lineup for the JLA 'toon, I'd say Superman or the Flash...the same from the regular comics as well.
From the Superfriends: as a kid, for some reason I thought Aquaman's telepathic power effect (those circles coming from his forehead) was sort of cool...even if he did just swim really fast and talk to fish as his "powers" (and these days, looks like a silly, walking reject from a Capt. Hook exhibit at Disneyworld with a surly teenager-esque attitude in some lame attempt to make him look cool *and* swims really fast and talks to fish ;-)
Any suggestions as to who your lamest/least-favorite JLA member is (from any incarnation---comics/TV/etc.). Snapper Carr (a teenaged sidekick with annoying lame "hep cat" talk who hung out with the JLA in their earliest comics in the sixties; got tossed out when he stupidly was tricked by the Joker into giving away access to their secret JLA HQ...) probably would be my "lamest" vote (at least the Wonder Twins had *some* powers---Snapper was just some lame regular kid with no special Batman-style training at all), though if I'd ever seen the "Wendy and Marvin" Superfriends eps (only seen them in a "Superfriends" comic reprint) they'd probably get my vote, too...
Kind of feels sorry for the Sea King---having his book cancelled, being put through stupid costume/attitude changes to be more "marketable"/"cooler", and finally, the ultimate humiliation of being recently used as cannon fodder (the "guy who gets killed off") in the current DC Comics mega-crossover storyline....doesn't bode well for ol' Aquaman's career (guess his appearance on the JLA cartoon will be his one bright spot in the immediate future :-)
Forgot a few more:
Favorite team incarnation (from what JLA comics I've read): the late 70's/early 80's team with Zatanna (the magician) and Firestorm (teenager who inhabits the same body as a nuclear physicist and has cool transmutation powers)...
Favorite JLA storyline (from the comics): probably any of the JLA/JSA teamups, though I haven't completed reading most of them admittedly---ones I'd like to read (vs. reading *about* and hoping to find an issue someday) would include: the "Seven Soldiers of Victory" story; "Crisis On Earth-1"/"Crisis On Earth-2" (the first JLA/JSA teamup); the last issue of the story I bought where the Ultra-Humanite (in his albino ape body) tries to wipe out all heroes through some goofy means by sending 5 JLA'ers (the Atom, Batman, Wonder Woman, Firestorm, and Black Canary) and 5 JSA'ers (Johnny Thunder, the Golden Age Superman, Hourman, the Golden Age Hawkman, and the Golden Age Flash); and the story with the Crime Syndicate showing up (the JLA's evil counterparts from a parallel Earth). ANother favorite issue: Adam Strange (Buck Rogers-esque hero who mostly appeared in old sixties DC sci-fi comics) teaming up with the team to defeat Kanjar Ro (skinny, pink-skinned, fly-like-eyes ruler of some alien planet) who gave himself superpowers a la Superman's...
Favorite JLA headquarters: either the current one (on the Moon) in the comics or the JLA satellite they had in the 70's...
Lamest JLA incarnation: probably the team that was based out of Axel Foley's hometown, Detroit...and from the sounds of that version of the team's member roster, Axel sounds like he'd have been a vast improvement over most of them as a member...
mine would be Batman..he's cool. The runner up would be Flash....
I can't wait for this series..
Guess who my favorite is:
