DG, We have to save Batman: Gotham Adventures!!!

    Like This Thread!
Dear friends, upon reading DG's mentionning of the possible cancellation of Batman: Gotham Adventures, I am in a state of panic. Although I think Peterson and Levins didn't do a good job, that doesn't mean I want my favorite book cancelled! Do you guys realize that if you count all of the animated Bat books, annuals and specials, there have been over 100 stories? I for one and not about to stand idely by and let all of the fantastic work done over the last decade be cut down by one lousy creative team!!! So, please DG, tell me the details of what you've heard and let me know who I should contact to show support for the only Batman comic I've ever loved. I really would like to write to Ty the Guy Templeton and ask if he'd ever consider writing and/or drawing for the series again. What about Aluir Amancio? Darwin Cooke (the guy doing the new Catwoman) might be great too. Please....reply to this one! I know one letter to DC or B:GA won't change the creative team or get this book back on top, but I won't be able to sleep well unless I know that I did everything I could to help save my comic! Guide me, guide us!

Things are sketchy at best for now, but the fate of GOTHAM ADVENTURES essentially depends on the direct - to - video movies. DC stated there were 2 reasons SUPERMAN ADVENTURES was being canned. One was for low sales. Two was for the fact it'll conflict with JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES. GOTHAM ADVENTURES will also cause some conflict with JLAdv and is a leading factor in determining the future of the series. The serie slooks healthy this year, but my be over by the end of 2002. Until we know of BGA is in definite trouble for sure we can't do anything. The book still sells a healthy 15, 000 a month and the return of BATMAN to CN may boost those alittle.

Also, DC plans to do "special" issues of their Cartoon Cartoon/All Ages titles where the price will range from 25 - 50 cents, and BGA may be one of them. This may really help out if DC goes through with this.
