Gotham Girls #26 Jailhouse Wreck
Original Airdate: September 24th, 2002
Batgirl pays a visit to Commissioner Gordon to express her concern over his new “Get Tough On Costumed Villains” policy. She suspects that he is experiencing some kind of post-traumatic shock because of the three days he and the men spent lost in suspended animation. Unable to persuade the Commissioner of the danger Harley, Ivy and Catwoman are in, Batgirl takes the unprecedented move of breaking them out of prison. They are safe, but Batgirl has been declared “Public Enemy Number One.”

How come it's not up yet?
Just letting you know that the episode is up, but the http://www.gothamgirls.com web address still doesn't work. You need to go to http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/gothamgirls/index.jsp to see it.
This was an interesting episode. Not much more of the plot revealed, but it was nice seeing all 4 ladies working together.
Plus a little extra thrown in at the beginning. Don't blink or you'll miss it.
This episode did seem really short compared to the others, but it mainly acted as the episode to get the remainder of the series in motion, as well as letting the villians loose again. I thought the jail scene, where the three villians are about to be battered, possibly to death, was pretty dark. I know some of the GCPD are crooked, but this waspretty intense. There was some great action in this scene which is only gonna heat up. This episode has me anticipating the remainder of the series...

short episode, but it again opens up for the rest of the show now with the girls out of prison and on the loose again. it wouldnt surprise me if they teamed up again...
i still think the secretary is behind the caper, and from the looks of it, somebody is controlling the commish from behind the scenes...
art as always is much improved over the last 2 seasons, what i like the most is the depiction of vehicles. is it just me or is harley becoming more stick-like???
Ah, this proves once again that there is no such thing as a bad episode. It was short but still fun to watch. Now Montoya has her eyes open. Could get REALLY good. 4 stars.
BTW, vote for R'as Al Ghul at the Delaney poll.
Hey, Tom Kenny was in the latest episode! No wonder those voices sounded so familar.
I guess this means that we'll be seeing Jimmy's ugly CGI face pop
into all the different Nick shows like he's the all-important god of the
network. God, I hate Nick.

I said the same thing except I only gave it three and a half. Wayyyyy too short considering we have to wait another two weeks.Originally posted by JTurner954

The episode was good.
Nothing speciall but good![]()
This episode served as the jumping off point for the remainder of the season. From her eon in, I think we're in for alot of surprises (and an interview with some 'Gotham Girls' folks before the next episode is I can swing it!) near the end.
And I don't think it's the secretary...still too easy...

It worked for me just fine. Make sure you have the required Flash Player downloaded properly. Give it a couple more shots. I'm not sure what else you can do, as I've never had a problem with the site locking up. Give it a couple more shots.

I just checked it and it worked for me. Just give it a couple more shots. There could be a whole host of reasons why the Flash thing isn't working. Check it out - awesome episode!

Howdy,
At extreme risk of opening up a huge political flamewar...
The one thing that struck me the most about this episode was the rather chilling comment from Commissioner Gordon to Batgirl, where he says something like, "Well, if they weren't responsible for this crime, I'm sure they're responsible for something," and jails them with no evidence in a place where they can apparently be beaten up without anybody knowing or caring.
Kind of like how the Attorney General's office wants us to think it's in our best interests for them to imprison an American citizen indefinitely without counsel by declaring him an "enemy combatant."
I don't know if this is intentional or something I'm just waaaay too paranoid about. Probably the latter, but you never know...
I did think Batgirl's bright yellow motorcycle was cool, even if it is kind of impractical.

Figured I'd bump this thread up since I finally got around to watching it...it wouldn't work for me for a while there...don't know why though, probably a glitch on my computer. Anyway, I thought this episode was pretty cool. Renee Montoya's about to take sides with Batgirl, I can just feel it. This show keeps getting better and better! Five stars!!

Not a heckuva lot happened in this episode, but it's always nice to hear Bob Hastings back as the Commish. 3.5 stars.
