My Idea For A World's Finest (Batman vs. Superman) Franchise

    Like This Thread!
If I could run Batman vs. Superman and it's inevitable sequels, here's how I'd do it.

    Movie #1

    World's Finest: Batman vs. Superman

The film open with Batman (Val Kilmer) and Superman (Patrick Warburton) working together to defeat Lex Luthor (Ben Kingsley) and the Joker (Jim Carrey) who have set out to kill Superman. After their victory, Batman gives Luthor a stern warning that he'll be watching him and then takes the Joker back to Arkham Asylum in Gotham City. Returning to their normal lives, Batman chases Catwoman (Ashley Judd) across the rooftops of Gotham City while Superman does battle with Metallo (Vin Diesel) over an illegal weapons shipment of Kryptonian laser rifles. However, Luthor soon finds a new ally in the one man who could actually kill Superman (and just about every other superhero), arch Batman foe, Ra's Al Ghul (Sean Connery). Soon, as Batman suspects Luthor's involvement with the Society of Shadows, he joins in a business deal with him as Bruce Wayne in Metropolis where he romances Daily Planet reporter, Lois Lane (Courtney Cox Arquette) which doesn't fail to make Superman a bit jealous. When their ideas and methods differ about how to stop the insidious duo from taking over the country and killing Superman, the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight engage in a fight that ends with the destruction of the Daily Planet Globe. Enraged, Daily Planet editor, Perry White (Sidney Poitier) assigns Lois a new story, Batman Unmasked! The story comes to a bone shattering climax in Washington D.C. as Ra's Al Ghul and Lex Luthor take control of the country and prepare to take over Canada, Lois discovers Batman's secret identity, and Superman and Batman rejoin forces to take back the country. All is not as it seems when Commissioner James Gordon (Paul Newman) calls in; the Joker is jealous of Luthor's new partner in crime and he's about to have revenge. Also starring Brian Dennehy (Dan Turpin), Glenn Close (Maggie Sawyer), John Cleese (Alfred Pennyworth), Paul Rodriguez (Harvey Bullock), and Lane Smith as the President of the United States.

    Movie #2

    World's Finest: Ultimate Evil

Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen (Joseph Gordon Levitt) fight tooth and nail against Gotham City television reporter, Vicky Vale (Nicole Kidman) to cover the story of Superman's return to Earth after fight with the Green Lantern Corps against the evil New Gods of Apokolips in space. Batman, uninterested in interstellar events, converses with Commissioner James Gordon until an evil alien creature, Kalibak (Michael Clark Duncan), crash lands in Gotham Harbor. Able to defeat the fallen New God with his brains and tactics, Batman refuses Superman's offer to help him fight a possible confrontation with evil New Gods. However, as a crime war wages through Gotham City, it takes Superman to save Batman when the local mobs led by Bruno Mannheim (Paul Sorvino) are employed with super powered weapons from Apokolips. In Superman's absence, Female Furies led by Granny Goodness (Lucy Lawless) raid Metropolis and kidnap Lois and Vicky. With the aid of Wayne Enterprises scientist, Ray Palmer (Denzel Washington), Batman and Superman finally travel to Apokolips where they take on Parademons, Female Furies, and Lord Darkseid (CGI voiced by Patrick Stewart) himself. Meanwhile, the Gotham City PD and the Metropolis SCU defeat a revived Kalibak with the aid of Bruce Wayne's personal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Also starring Bill Pullman (Green Lantern Hal Jordan) and Christopher Reeves as the Mayor of Gotham City.

    Movie #3

    World's Finest: Paradise Lost

It's a typical day in the life of the World's Finest team; Batman pursues the Joker and his girlfriend, Harley Quinn (Kristen Chenoweth), while Superman battles his own Luthor created clone, Bizarro (Patrick Warburton), in Metropolis while attempting to go on his first date with Lois Lane as Clark Kent. When they return to their respective "homes", the Batcave and the Fortress of Solitude, they find they each have received distress calls from their longtime ally... Wonder Woman (Jennifer Connelly). However, when they both arrive on Paradise Island they discover all of the Amazons have been turned to stone. At the Amazon Royal Palace, they find the mystical sorcerer culprit, Felix Faust (Christopher Lee), deep in his pursuit of ultimate knowledge. He offers Superman and Batman an ultimatum, locate the Philosopher's Stone or Wonder Woman and her fellow Amazons shall be imprisoned in stone forever. Reluctantly agreeing, the "Dynamic Duo" set back out into the world in search of the powerful artifact. At first they travel to London in search of Batman's mystical contact, the immortal Jason Blood (Anthony Stewart Head). He may know where it is, but first he forces the heroes into battle when he transforms into the demon, Etrigan. Meanwhile, as they pursue they mysterious antihero known only as Sensei (Jet Li), as Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, they must also avoid Lois Lane and her mother (Margot Kidder) on vacation. However, they finally find the location from the Phantom Stranger (Scott Bakula); the Philosopher's Stone is hidden deep within the Batcave. But the Phantom Stranger warns them, possession of the Philosopher's Stone only leads to death. Either way, they return to Paradise Island and deliver the Philosopher's Stone to Faust. After freeing Wonder Woman and her sisters, the Phantom Stranger's warning comes true. Faust has become omnipotent. As he engulfs the Amazons in a Mediterranean whirlpool, he unleashes an army of zombies to overtake the Earth and pave his way to Mt. Olympus, the point of ultimate knowledge. To save the Earth, Batman and Superman battle and defeat an army of Nazi zombies, Kryptonian zombies, and Superman's father, Jor El (Dean Cain), and Batman's father, Thomas Wayne (Robert Redford). In the finale, Superman and Batman return to Metropolis just in time to save Lois from a gang of Bizarro clones and let her go on her second date with Clark Kent. Also starring Catherine Deneuve (Queen Hippolyta), Kristen Johnston (Lara), and Joan Collins (Martha Wayne).

    Movie #4

World’s Finest: The Return Of The Super Villains

Wedding bells are ringing in Metropolis as the entire city prepares for the wedding of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Guests arrive by the dozens as Bruce Wayne and Vicky Vale fly into town to find the Kents (Sissy Spacek and Alan Alda) at war with Mrs. Lane and her estranged husband (Clint Eastwood). However, as the couple becomes Mr. And Mrs. Clark Kent, a bomb is set off in the chapel. However, the wedding guests are saved by the joint teamwork of Batman and Superman. Returning to the Batcave to analyze the bomb, they’re aided by Batman’s new partner, Robin (Paul Terry). Meanwhile, the wedding assailant, Deadshot (Matt Leblanc), returns to his employer, Lex Luthor, and the rest of his villainous cohorts, Livewire (Denise Richards), the Shade (Alan Ruck), Solomon Grundy (the Rock), Braniac (CGI voiced by Ian McKellan), Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), and the Riddler (Kevin Spacey). Following a lead, Batman and Superman journey to London, England, home of the League of Assassins. With the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel tied up in British battle, Metropolis and the SCU fall to Luthor’s army of villains as Luthor himself purchases the Daily Planet. Working with Vicky Vale, Lois, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White escape from the city only to be kidnapped by Poison Ivy and the Shade. When the World’s Finest Team returns to Metropolis, they find it to be a ghost town except for Robin. He tried to stop them, but the villain army used Braniac’s mysterious time travel technology to journey to the Smallville and Gotham City of the past, wiping out Metropolis in the process. However, them "Dynamic Duo" can’t simply follow the villains into the past as the Riddler and Livewire are holding the Gotham City PD hostage. The climax of the film comes when Robin and Wonder Woman take on the Riddler and Livewire, as Superman and Batman to stop the villain army, rescue their hostages, restore Metropolis, and stop Luthor and his cohorts from murdering their infant selves who were exposed when Braniac read Lois’s mind. Movie #5

    World's Finest: Endgame

The final film in the series opens as Lois Lane and Superman give Krypto, the "Super-Dog", a check up in the Fortress of Solitude when, suddenly, it is invaded with an explosion by the Suicide Squad led by Atomic Skull (CGI voiced by Mark Hamill). Superman and the team of super powered assailants come to blows while Bizarro kills Krypto and hijacks the Phantom Zone projector, letting the rest of the Suicide Squad get away. Meanwhile, at Metropolis General Hospital, Lex Luthor is secretly treated for cancer from Kryptonite poisoning. In Gotham City, Bruce Wayne is in the middle of a heated meeting with shipping tycoon, Derek Powers (Michael Keaton), when he's called away by Dick Grayson; Two Face (Tommy Lee Jones) has escaped! At home in Metropolis, Clark Kent is feeling restless in his apartment as Lois and Jimmy Olsen are on assignment in Gotham City doing a profile on Commissioner James Gordon's retirement from the GCPD as he pursues Two Face. At LexCorp, Luthor purchases the Phantom Zone projector from the Suicide Squad. Meanwhile, as Bruce and Lois catch up on old times in Gotham City, Powers meets with Luthor to discuss a proposition that would destroy both of their enemies, Batman and Superman. Working together with the Phantom Zone projector, Powers and Luthor plan to unleash General Zod (Pierce Brosnan), Ursa (Angelina Jolie), and Non (Brendan Fraser) within Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, as Superman chases a visiting Catwoman around Metropolis, Batman, Commissioner Gordon, and Detective Renee Montoya (Jennifer Lopez) finally capture Two Face right before Commissioner Gordon's retirement ceremony. However, amid the ceremony, the party is crashed by some very unwelcome visitors, General Zod, Ursa, Non, Killer Croc (CGI voiced by Harrison Ford), and Mr. Freeze (George Clooney). Superman receives the news in Metropolis and immediately speeds away to find Robin alone in the Batcave as Batman is inside the now quarintined Arkham Asylum. As Batman and Superman battle for their lives against an evil alliance led by General Zod and the Joker, Lois uncovers the ultimate truth. Even though Powers and the dying Luthor masterminded the attack, Powers is merely an agent for a much more powerful villain, Ra's Al Ghul. Psycho murderers, sadistic aliens, and arch villains clash with the World's Finest team in their final film also starring Laura Prepon (Barbara Gordon), Martin Short (the Mad Hatter), Kid Rock (Lobo), Pamela Anderson (Maxima), Catherine Zeta Jones (Talia), and Halle Berry (Mercy Graves).

Kudos to your excellent imagination. I'm impressed with your casting abilities, especially the effective use of old movie/TV actor cameos in alternate roles that suit them well. Too bad that an army of lawyers and a mountain of money could never pull it off.

BTW-If you really desire feedback to your work, you may wish to present smaller sections to discuss, as its hard to write an effective response to your opus in a couple of sentences. I do envy your creativity, and ability to weave so much info into your stories.

Very impressive peter. Very well written and thought out. I do like how you used other Bat/Supes actors in other roles. You crammed so many great characters into each movie without it actually seeming crammed (I hope that sounds right, it's a compliment)

    Where is The Penguin?!!

Personally I always saw Patrick Stewart as making an excellent Mr. Freeze so I would move him to that role and make Darkseid someone else (maybe just use Michael Ironside?).

Paul Sorvino as Bruno Mannheim is brilliant! I always liked Joseph Gordon Levitt and I could see him as Jimmy Olsen.

Who is the guy you picked to be Robin?

I found your use of "future" villain Derek Powers an intersting addition.

I guess I don't have any other thoughts at this time, but it's a start.

Paul Terry played James in Disney's "James and the Giant Peach." I figure he's a couple years older now and with a dialect class and a little weightlifting he'd do a pretty good job.
