Will WB ever put BB "The Call" on DVD?

    Like This Thread!
With Justice Leauge now going strong and hitting its stride, do any of you think that there's a possibility of Warner Bros. putting Batman Beyond's "The Call" on DVD (as one hour-long movie, instead of two half-hour episodes)? I would think that this would be an easy way for Warner Bros. to further capitalize on Justice League... and I would welcome it!

As much as I love my uncut copy of "Return of The Joker" on DVD, I actually liked "The Call" more! I want "The Call" on DVD!

I certainly would buy a copy of this DVD if they decided to release it. Maybe include some directors commentary by Timm regarding the JLU?

I to would love to has this set of episodes on DVD but I don't see WB doing anything like this. The last I've heard about any future DVD's was that they were reviewing the sales for the five DVD releases and would base future releases on these sales. Considering that all five titles (I believe) made it into the top 100 for sales and have remained steadily there I hope WB releases DVD's for all four series (BTAS, STAS, JLTAS and BB) but keeps them in episode number order (with the missing BB episode from DVD #1 being placed onto the second DVD).

As much as I would love to see the Call on DVD I would hope that they would continue in episode order instead of reverting to a "best of" collection once again.

I hope they eventually get to The Call on DVD. The whole series needs to be on DVD, although WB shouldn't cheat the people who bought the first DVD of episodes, with the missing episode in the middle. They should do what jjw said, by putting the missing ep on the 2nd dvd.

If "The Call" is ever out on DVD, I hope WB includes a bonus JL episode like the Legends.

Well, Batman Beyond had 52 episodes, and when put in their proper order, "The Call" was the last two episodes. So, putting 5 episodes per DVD in order from #1-#50 would still leave "The Call" by itself. Therefore, Warner Bros. could put "The Call" out on DVD now and it wouldn't upset the release of the rest of Batman Beyond on DVD in proper episode order!!! (Kids' WB originally aired "The Call" out of order in Season 3 because of Fall Sweeps in 2000.)

Yeah, but the first DVD had six episodes. So it would be episodes 49, 50, 51 and 52 on the last DVD.

WB originally put out BB eps on VHS and I think they could do an "Old Friends" tape and pair this episode with Out of the Past. Now who wouldn't want a tape with Out of the Past and The Call on it.

To my mind, if there's an episode featuring a JL that should be released on DVD, that's the BB JLU two-parter. In two episodes the JLU was better portrayed than all the JL members in 15 (or was it 17?) episodes!

I think JL's episodes came off a little bit better than Batman Beyond's "The Call" as much as I loved it, but I don't see why you can't get your wish. WB may be ignorant to the fans' desires, but they're also driven by profit and ratings. Maybe if we just waited long enough it'd happen.
