Will Clark Fly On The Season Finale?

    Like This Thread!
Think about it. It looks Lana gets sucked up into the twister. And remember in the past episode where Clark wakes up hovering above his bed? They never once touched back on that one.

    Heeeeell No!

Then what's stoppin him from just slippin on the tights, headin off to Metropolis and marrying Lois Lane cause the "Smallville" show would be over after that and it'd just be another version of the Adventures of Superman: The Teen Years

Voted no. I think the longer we stretch things out the better. Clark IS almost becoming more advanced as his animated and comic counterpart. Just cuz we're excited doesn't mean we should rush things.

Hehe, let's give him said Superman powers that he develops as a teenager, yes, but let's ALSO remember why we're here (in this set up: PRE-Superman, where Clark is a teenager). So he can learn about and react TO these powers. Emphasize on that.

I kind of doubt it...I voted no. He shouldn't learn how to do that until he's at least 18 in my opinion.

I read somewhere, kryptonsite I think, that all the writing staff on Smallville have copies of Loeb & Sale's "Superman For All Seasons."

In that wonderful TPB the first chapter involves a tornado ripping through Smallville, and Clark does indeed discover he can fly. If this is indeed the inspiration for the season finale, the smart money's on Clark flying. However, though I do believe Clark will fly, it will be with the assistance of the twister and after the disaster subsides he will again be mostly grounded. The twister will hopefully only help him develop this power, so that he won't right away be flying rings around the planet. It could provide some great amusment for next season, as in his private moments he's leaping off the barn roof continually trying to get some air, and instead bellyflopping into the ground.

    Those are just my thoughts.

    Hmm......interesting. I never heard that.

Well if they got their inspiration from anywhere for the season finale, I'm glad to hear it was from Superman: FAS. Kinda gives me alot more hope that I definitely will NOT be disappointed with this lasy ep.

I agree with Palin Dromos. I think Clark's power of flight will emerge when he is forced to save either Lana or Chloe from being sucked up into the tornado. It won't be a power he can maintain like the others yet. It will come as a surprise to him, especially since he can't seem to get it back. Why he was able to fly when the twister struck and not after could be a mystery subplot that runs throughout the show.
When life hands you lemons, ask for Tequila and Salt.

Make like Rick Blaine and make her go on the plane. It's the right thing to do.
