I, as well, whether it's online or on a home entertainment release - WHV or WAC. The theater one, it made sense why it never aired but the Peanuts one was perfect for Halloween - slam dunk - don't even need to think about it. Very odd it was pulled.

DC have been posting them to their YouTube channel, which is good news for people like me as I live in the UK.
They're adding them til the end of the week, today being the 3 Creature Commando shorts.
I may be wrong but the ones they're still to post are just the Shazam, Green Arrow and New Teen Titan shorts (not counting the MAD shorts, or the non-animated DC Nation shorts}. As there's 3 days left in the week, I'm hoping to see some New Teen Titan shorts as they've only posted a few on YouTube before now.

The Green Arrow shorts have been added. It would be amazing if the unaired Teen Titans ones were posted soon.

Can you not view the Shazam shorts on the Cartoon Network YouTube channel?

The Shazam shorts were nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the "Outstanding Special Class – Short Format Daytime Program" category.

And also Big Pull Podcast, with Giancarlo Volpe, recently had Lynell Forestall on in mid-February. Don't think I posted about it on toonzone. Episode 60; at generally these mark 9:25-14:32, 1:13:29-46, 1:18:36-19:12 - Forestall talked DC Nation/Thunder and Lightning.

Summing it up if you don't want to listen but do, it's entertaining!
    Spoiler:

    • Lynell Forestall reveals he modeled Jennifer Pierce after his daughter Bailey.
    • Forestall drew from personal experience.
    • He worked on the pitch while working on The Dark Knight Returns on the DC Universe line.
    • He chose Black Lightning from a list of about 40 characters to choose from for DC Nation.
    • After speaking with LeSean Thomas, Forestall settled on the idea of a fake 1970s exploitation trailer like Shaft, Black Bill Jones, Superfly with a big afro, platform shoes, and puffy sleeves, to explain Black Lightning.
    • A week after the pitch, Ben Jones informed Forestall it was greenlit but Sam Register wanted the modern version with his two daughters instead. The story changed to Black Lightning taking his daughters to his old neighborhood to show he was cool but they end up teasing him and his old costumes, from the classic to Black Vulcan and so on until he showed off the modern day costume and it ended.
    • Register suggesting giving the daughters costumes, too.
    • Forestall rewrote the script some more with Dr. Polaris showing up, Black Lightning goes off to fight him, and Peter Gambi gives them costumes.
    • If the shorts went to series, there would have been allusions to the oldest daughter Anissa being gay.
    • If there was a third short, their mother would have appeared. She would have no powers and still married to Black Lightning as opposed to being divorced in the comics. Forestall would have went with the idea she went back to work while he would be stay at home dad to watch over their daughters and their powers.
